The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the room decor and my view wasn't of the water but it was pretty. The bathroom was extremely clean. The housekeeper did a very thorough job. I liked the lighting in the bathroom and the little reading lamp.

It had an certain charm, not found in other hotels. Loved the heated pool.It was a busy weekend as there was an event taking place, but in all the experience was good.
Quaint and enjoyable. Very convenient location. The hotel staff were wonderful. Wine in the room, at a reasonable price, was nice. Our view of the water was great.

If the only thing you care about is location, then pick this house. It is NOT a hotel. It is NOT a 4 star hotel as advertised. It's the basement of someone's house where they put as many rooms into the basement as possible.
Staffs were super kind and helpful.

Top Tips
- Prince Edward Island accommodations include a 15% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). Always check the final total at checkout to confirm the exact amount, as some small B&Bs may show taxes only on the invoice.
- For peak festival weekends (late June to August during Charlottetown Festival), book hotels at least 6 to 8 weeks ahead. Central rooms fill quickly and rates may increase by 20 to 30% during these periods.
- Charlottetown Airport (YYG) is 8 to 12 km (10 to 15 minutes) from downtown, with taxi fares averaging CAD 20 to 30 (approx. $15 to $22 USD). Check if your hotel offers a complimentary shuttle or can arrange transport in advance.
- From Wood Islands ferry terminal, expect a 40 to 50 minute drive (about 45 km) to Charlottetown. Northumberland Ferries operate seasonally; confirm the ferry schedule in advance and consider booking a car, as public transport is limited.
- Parking at downtown Charlottetown hotels typically costs CAD 10 to 25 (approx. $7 to $18 USD) per night, adding 5 to 10% to your nightly rate. Register your license plate at arrival to avoid tickets and confirm accessible parking options if needed.
- If you need step-free access or an accessible room, request this in advance. Historic B&Bs often have stairs, while major chains like Delta or Rodd commonly provide elevators or visual alarms; share your specific needs and get written confirmation.
- Charlottetown’s municipal tap water is safe to drink, so you can refill bottles from the tap. Ice machines or in-room kettles are also often available for guests who prefer chilled or hot water.
- Ride-hail services are limited in Charlottetown compared to larger Canadian cities. For late arrivals, prebook a taxi or check if your hotel offers an on-demand or scheduled shuttle.
- Downtown B&Bs often include a hot breakfast, which can save CAD 10 to 18 (approx. $7 to $13 USD) per person compared to à la carte hotel breakfast. Confirm inclusion, ask about dietary needs, and check breakfast start times for early departures.
- Pay in Canadian dollars at checkout and decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) to avoid extra fees. Major credit cards are widely accepted, and some cards waive foreign transaction fees; confirm that hotel incidental holds are also listed in CAD.
