Only REAL business in North Woodstock. Overwhelmed with patrons. Outside of our building could use cleaning. Halls and rooms need better cleaning staff.
Location and staff friendly environment
This hotel was very easy to get to and was surrounded by some other hotels, a spa, and some shops. The breakfast they offer is very good; you can pick from anything on the menu.

The hostel has a very friendly, homey vibe. There are quilts on the couches, books about hiking- little touches that make it very welcoming. And lots of communal spaces to hang out in. The kitchen was well equipped and there was free tea/coffee.

The pool was very nice. The patio area was enjoyable.
I've stayed here before so that's why I chose to stay again. The staff is friendly. The pool is clean just like the rest of the building. Breakfast is pretty good. They have scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes, waffles, pancakes and a few other things

The vibe..
the location was traffic, right in the middle of Franconia notch. The Inn was relaxing with a nice dinning room and Pub. We also enjoyed the heated pool after a day of hiking.
There are so many amenities right in the inn. The game room is a very decent game room, especially if you like old arcade games and ping pong. There is also a bar, a pool, a hot tub, tennis courts, and the location is right next to the best trails.

After looking at $---/night reviews of local hotels in disgust, we found this lovely and inviting Bed & Breakfast in Ashland, just 30 mins from Lincoln - Loon Mt. We loved the warm hospitality, proportionate attention, the super comfy bed, & warm shower.

The Guardian Cats.
Reasonable price for no-frills accommodation. Close enough to where I needed to be. Hostelier friendly and helpful. Clever adaptive use of an old, in-town building in a town (village?) that has seen its heyday. Owner did it right.
Quiet clean and relaxed. Great access to the mountains.

Nicely landnscaped. Very convenient to mountains, Jackson Village and North Conway.
We thought the room was reasonably priced for the amount we paid. Overlooking a brook off the back deck. The room was quiet with great sunshine in the afternoon. We even got a continental breakfast with eggs and some sort of protein.
Size of room. Breakfast was a nice surprise

The location
The room was clean, and we'll equipped. We had an incident with the washing machine (not their fault. It was a washer/dryer combo, couldn't figure out how to stop to open door.)called front desk maintenance was there within 10 minutes.

It is an old time New England in with the rooms upstairs and the restaurant on the first floor. The rooms are nice. Each one is different. Then attached to the Inn is a pub that has live music three nights a week. Tuesday is the night we went.

Location, delicious breakfast, cleanliness, cozy!
Great location--walking distance to park, restaurants, golf course, shops. Short drive to hiking, ski trails, waterfalls, North Conway. It's a cozy, old inn. The inn keeper was extraordinarily nice and accommodating. The homemade breakfast was delicious.
Hotel had warmth. Not just talking about the heating system. It made you feel extremely comfortable. It was also close to restaurants, shopping and things to do. The breakfast was outstanding.

Frequently Asked Questions
Top Tips
- Book hotels in Lincoln 6-12 weeks ahead for peak foliage (late September to early October) and winter ski weekends (late December to February or March school breaks), as major chains and resorts can fill quickly during these high-demand periods. Compare hotel flexible rates midweek for extra availability.
- Expect a 9% New Hampshire Rooms and Meals tax on your hotel bill. Check your booking for any added resort or parking fees and request an itemized cost breakdown from your property before you book.
- Hotels within 0-3 miles of Loon Mountain base offer transfer times of 5-10 minutes by car, making early lift access and late returns more convenient. Ask about shuttle or valet options if you prefer not to drive.
- Lincoln is the gateway to the Kancamagus Scenic Byway (NH-112), with direct access from most hotels. Plan 30-90 minutes of extra travel on short segments during peak foliage weekends, and ask your concierge for real-time updates on scenic traffic.
- Broadband speeds and cellular coverage can range from strong to limited within Grafton County, so confirm Wi-Fi service and cell reception with your hotel for remote work stays. Consider business centers or lobby workspaces if you need a reliable connection.
- For step-free or accessible rooms, request specifics before booking, as many Lincoln hotels are low-rise, exterior-entry designs with limited accessible inventory. Confirm ramp or elevator access if mobility is a concern.
- If booking outlying cabins or vacation rentals, ask about the property’s water source and waste (septic/trash) rules, as many use private wells and systems. Hotels in Lincoln typically have municipal supplies.
- For ski and high-season travel, review your hotel's shuttle hours and on-site parking rules. Some properties add off-site parking fees or limit lot access on weekends; request written details to avoid last-minute surprises.
