Restaurant
The property is incredibly gorgeous. All the staff in every area are kind, patient, helpful and attentive. Food & drinks were impressive, fresh, wonderful flavors. Included breakfast was not your typical small free meal, it was amazing. Center location!
The staff was very welcoming and friendly! There was intention in exposing guests to cultural rituals via Wellness activities and events. The food was fantastic! The private beach area was ideal. The location is bikeable to town and landmarks.

The way they put it together
Restraint was great. Started off in apartment which was ok but moved to king with outdoor bath and made the difference. The ambiance and feel of this place was so Tulum. Great landscaping and pool

Good location between downtown and the beach

Nice location. Great beach. Quiet, versus some of the local hotels that had techno music blaring all day long. Staff are great. One staffer, Aldo, took care of us like our personal assistant. He took care of everything we needed.
Location and the pool on the deck!
The location was good, tasty breakfast. Beach access was very convenient with ample shade under the trees.

Great staff, food, beer and entertainment at late dinner. Afternoon bartender makes the best rum and cokes out there! Beers were awesome too. Actually had some flavor, not the typical Mexican beers with no taste.

The airy spaces, charming furniture, and location were all great. Access to restaurants/bars outside, but very safe and secluded "oasis"feel to the inside common spaces and beach. Comfortable beds. Great staff at the desk. Loved it!

Going into this hotel is like being in your own little oasis. Rooms are amazing. There's lots of cool things nearby, and they are extremely helpful with recommendations for places to eat, sight see, etc. Even renting a car!

Nothing at all. The room was dirty it smelled funny and the staff was very rude and unprofessional. I'm a blue vip member and this is what I was given. I will absolutely not choose this motel if you're in the Manchester East Hartford area. Never again....
Simple, modern and comfortable! The most beautiful hotel I¿ve ever stayed at!
Cool style

The terrace bar and ambience. Close to restaurant Alma Verde.
The free parking in the basement with security was a helpful feature. We rented a vehicle. Also the central location was good. We were close to stores and eateries. We could walk to a Carl Jr if we wanted a snack. The Hotel is in a small shopping plaza
Loved the staff! Everyone was so welcoming and willing to make sure you had a wonderful stay. Cleanliness and design were 10/10.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Excellent room at a good price we as seniors could afford. Beautiful decorations--not your usual cookie cutter hotel. Has day passes so friends and family who live in Tulum can come spend a pool day.

Where to stay in Tulum
Learn about the top neighbourhoods of Tulum
One of the most beautiful Maya archaeological sites is Tulum, a walled city that sits on dramatic cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Facing the water, it's remarkably well preserved. If you're staying in the Tulum South area, you won't want to miss the nearby Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that protects verdant mangrove forests and a colorful coral reef.

Top Tips
- For peak travel periods in Tulum like late December or Semana Santa (Holy Week), book hotels 3-6 months in advance. Boutique properties fill up early and often require non-refundable deposits, while last-minute rates can be 30-60% higher than advance rates.
- Transfers from Cancún Airport to Tulum differ by cost and convenience. ADO coach buses cost 250-360 MXN (about $15-20 USD) and take 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours, while private shuttles are 900-2,700 MXN ($50-150 USD) and provide door-to-door service. Prebooking saves 20-50% over taxi fares at the airport. If traveling with a group or extra luggage, confirm shuttle capacity before booking.
- Avoid tap water in Quintana Roo, including at major hotels. Use sealed bottled or filtered water for drinking and brushing teeth to lower the risk of stomach illness. Ask your hotel about refill stations to help reduce plastic waste.
- Mosquitoes are common June-November, which aligns with dengue season. Use EPA-approved repellent (DEET or IR3535), wear long sleeves at dawn and dusk, and select screened or air-conditioned rooms. Ask your hotel about mosquito control programs.
- Tulum's neighborhoods offer different experiences. Tulum Pueblo is budget-friendly and is 3-6 km (10-20 minutes by car) from the beach. Zona Hotelera gives direct beach access but at higher rates, while Aldea Zama is a mid-range residential area. Choose your location based on your planned activities.
- Carry 500-2,000 MXN ($28-110 USD) in cash for taxis, small restaurants, and tips. When paying by card, select MXN instead of local USD to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fees of 2-10%. Larger hotels and restaurants accept cards, but smaller vendors mostly require cash.
- Power outages are more frequent during June-November (hurricane season). For long stays, check that your hotel has a full-site generator that can run air conditioning and device chargers. Ask about generator duration and coverage before booking if continuous power matters for your plans.
- Accessible rooms are limited at boutique and beach resorts due to stairs and uneven paths. Request a step-free or ground-floor room in advance, and ask for up-to-date room photos to verify accessibility before you book.
- Take official ADO buses or colectivos (shared vans) instead of taxis to save 50-80% on local travel. Colectivos and ADO buses run regularly, but check schedules for late-night rides as frequencies may drop after 21:00.
- In restaurants, tip 10-15% if service is not already included; for housekeeping or porters, 20-50 MXN (about $1-3 USD) per service is typical. Some hotels include a service fee, so check your bill before tipping.
- If you need to work remotely, confirm the hotel's measured Wi-Fi speed (in Mbps) and quiet hours before booking. Many beachfront hotels offer slower bandwidth, so verify with the property if you require reliable high-speed internet.
