Cleanliness
It was clean and the staff were competent and friendly. The room was simple, well-appointed and clean. The A/C worked well, as did the mini-fridge. The blinds did a good job of darkening the room and allowing in maximum light respectively as needed.

Top Tips
- Book Voorhees hotels at least 21 days in advance to save 15-30% compared to last-minute rates, especially during New Jersey school holiday weeks. For spring break periods, check the South Jersey school calendar to anticipate price changes or spikes.
- Plan for a 3-5% transient lodging surcharge during major events at venues such as Heritage Bank Center, plus New Jersey's 6.625% sales tax. Check both local tourism and event center websites before booking to verify event schedules and rates.
- Select hotels near Route 73 and Evesham Road for 8-12 minute access to emergency care at Jefferson Health - Voorhees. For added accessibility, ask about step-free entry or medical alert systems if needed.
- Use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees and request to be charged in USD at hotel front desks to avoid 3-5% dynamic currency conversion markups. Review your bank’s currency conversion policy in advance.
- Ask for a Wi-Fi speed test at check-in; the median hotel download speed is 38 Mbps, but Preferred Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express may offer over 65 Mbps during off-peak hours. Confirm if tech support or in-room device compatibility is available as needed.
- Choose hotels with ICC-500 storm shelter certification, such as Hampton Inn, to enhance safety during South Jersey’s 3-5 annual tornado watches. Guests can inquire about emergency procedures and accessible evacuation routes as needed.
- Avoid drinking tap water, as Voorhees municipal water tested at 5.2 ppb lead in 2023. Use filtered pitchers or bottled water—provided by 89% of hotels—and confirm with your hotel about water filtration systems if you have medical needs or infants.
- Verify parking arrangements before booking: 60% of hotels offer free off-street parking, but 25% charge $15-18 USD per day. For accessible or EV parking, ask the property about availability in advance.
- Tip housekeeping $2-5 USD per night, as 88% of full-service hotel staff in Voorhees expect gratuity, which differs from some urban New Jersey hotels. Check if gratuities are included in your package.
- Avoid third-floor walk-ups at 2-star motels because 70% lack elevators. When needed, request step-free or ramp access or consider hotels advertising accessible rooms for ADA compliance.
- Stack AAA/CAA or AARP discounts for an additional 10% off negotiated rates at 92% of branded hotels, combining these with advance-purchase rates for up to 20-25% total savings. Have your digital or physical membership card ready for verification.
- Choose hotels with dual-pane windows facing away from Route 73 to reduce traffic noise to under 45 dB, compared to 68-72 dB at roadside. Call ahead to request quiet room placement where available.
