My only complaint is that my shower did not get hot and I had to take a cold shower. I told the front desk and he showed no concern. Furthermore that same morning he harassed me while eating breakfast as if I didn't pay like the other guest.

Top Tips
- Avoid 20-35% rate increases by booking your Southaven hotel 1-2 months before major events like Elvis Week or summer festivals. For peak dates, set calendar reminders to secure rooms in advance as availability can drop quickly.
- Expect an additional 9-13% in taxes and fees on your hotel stay, with Mississippi state taxes at 7-10% and DeSoto County adding 2-3%. Review your booking summary for a detailed breakdown to prevent budget surprises.
- Snowden Grove neighborhoods report a 20% lower crime rate than the county average, offering added peace of mind for families or solo travelers. Confirm whether your hotel provides shuttle or security services for guests.
- Mississippi's tornado season (March-May) can bring power outages lasting 1-3 hours. Choose hotels with backup generators, or pack a portable charger to keep devices powered if storms occur.
- If you need an accessible room, request it at least 2 weeks ahead since about 75% of Southaven hotels offer step-free access but demand rises during festivals or tournaments. Specify other needs, like visual alarms or accessible showers, when booking.
- Check advertised Wi-Fi speeds before booking; mid-range Southaven hotels typically offer 30-50 Mbps. For storm season reliability, consider chain hotels such as Courtyard by Marriott with dedicated business amenities to maintain connectivity.
