Comfortable with a few issues
Poor breakfast
Food in the whole and could have been better. Hotel could be cleaner

Good value but need to sort out the heating
The location was good. Lounge was nice.
No central heating, only a plug-in oil heater which was not adequate for the drop in temperature. I was cold all night.

Never stay here
The only thing that went well with stay was the fact there was a Travel Lodge less than 100 metres away I could stay in rather than the gulag
Room had no heating, dirty bath, draught coming in around the window, no room service or food or drink onsite

Exceptional
Friendly staff . After having to relocate due to appalling accommodation previous night. Made sure we were happy with everything. Explained how carpark system worked. Good shower. Very comfy bed. Most importantly felt safe.
Nothing

Average
Location was good
The cleanliness of the room could have better and having to pay for the car park was not good

Expensive and room condition and facilities not worthing the money spent.
Not much. Only positive was location next to the train station.
Basin and shower drains were almost blocked and quite smelly. Window couldn’t close properly. No hair dryer. Not enough lamps/lighting.

A quaint hotel.
Very convenient for Duxford. A quaint property though my husband, who is tall, found [Link Redacted] crouching down to get to our room and through the door challenging.
The food in the restaurant was over priced. Reasonable quality though. Generally the rooms were cold and the radiator in our room didn't work. We were grateful for the plug in heater.

Apart from checking in, overall stay was fine
the room was very clean and tidy and for a old public house was very modern ,bed was comfy. shower was a bit small though.
checking in could be better as i had informed them i would arrive before 3pm but was told could not check in till 3pm, but when i arrived again for 3pm i was told nothing ready till 4pm. Which was disappointing as wanted to get to Audley End house shortly after 3pm for the start of concert held there.

Adequate but having stayed before, items are noticed which were not apparent previously.

Welcome excellent
Very friendly staff delightful
Probably my fault, but I didn’t realise left have to pay an extra £7.50 to park my car at the hotel. Maybe some very strong solution to make sure that the loo basin is completely clean and not stained.

Comfortable stay. Nice hotel with friendly staff.
Annex hotel to the Holiday Inn over the road. Comfortable stay. Car Parking facilities.
The Bath/Shower situation. Tiny bath and a hand held shower. Would have liked to have been informed about this before hand. Would have liked the bar/restaurant to be open. Especially for breakfast.

Bad.
Very small and it seemed like we had no air to breathe : no window to open and ac wasn’t working. It was hot and we suffocated. No staff in the building.

Poor
Room was clean and tidy
Staff were unhelpful and clearly not prepared for a very busy weekend and especially check-in time. Our room was advertised as a standard double but was in fact a single.

I enjoyed my stay at the Red Lion . My bed was comfy and my shower lovely hot and powerful
We were 3 people staying in 3 different rooms … perfectly adequate sleeping arrangement
No safe (and fridge if I was staying for a longer period of time) in the room / big Tv covering my window / and window blinds and curtains very delicate / odd that no staff in the pub to check us in and out

Stressful.
Very handy for Duxford and Cambridge. The Holiday Inn express opposite.
Windows we’re rotten and rattled. Toilet was used and hadn’t been cleaned. Tea making kit was kept on a tray on the floor and thick with dust. No biscuits! Room smelled musty and damp. £7.50 charge for overnight parking for guests. Noisy train station drop off point below window. No biscuits!! Half the price still wouldn’t have been good value.
