Reasonably priced for a high quality hotel. Rooms were good sized, bed was very comfortable and heated bathroom floors were very nice. Staff was very helpful when we experienced car problems and needed assistance.

The breakfast was great! Many options, good taste. We woke up to the smell of fresh bread, which was definitely a plus. We were worried that it would be too loud for sleep because our room was sandwiched between two hallways, but all was quiet.

The location between Vik and the Glacial Lagoon was great. It was quiet and beautiful. It wasn¿t too expensive and although it was fairly basic, it met all my needs and was very clean. I would definitely stay again.

The breakfast buffet was amazing and the employees kept it continuously stocked with fresh food all the way until 10am. Also the waterfall shower head with second wand was so invigorating.

The hotel was a good price since it was outside of the city. Very good breakfast served at the hotel and also the restaurant next door in viking style. All of the staff were great with helping us out to answer any questions and to navigate the city.

Location, location, location. The hotel is right downtown so everything worth seeing is within walking distance. The room was decent size and clean. The included breakfast was pretty good and with a decent variety of items, including fresh fruit.

This hotel is on Akureyri’s main street, Hafnarstraeti, less than 1.2 mi from Akureyri Airport. It offers en-suite guest rooms, free parking and views of the Eyjafjörður fjord. Husavík is 56 mi away. All guest rooms at Hotel Akureyri feature a 40-inch flat-screen TV and a mini-bar. WiFi is free. Hotel was in a great location and was a good cost. Room and hotel in general was very clean. Free breakfast was good the next morning as well.

The friendliness of the stuff!! The lady at the reception was very helpful with providing the latest road/weather updates. She clearly wanted everyone to stay safe as the weather wasn¿t great at the time and roads were closed going up north. Lovely hotel
