This family-run, hillside hotel is 3.7 mi from Kirkjubæjarklaustur and a 1-hour drive from Skaftafell National Park. It offers traditional Icelandic food, a furnished terrace and countryside views. Public WiFi and parking are free. Private bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV are standard in Hotel Laki's rooms. Some provide a sofa and lake views. Lamb and trout are just some of the local dishes served in the à la carte restaurant. A bar with a flat-screen TV can be found on site. Fishing in Lake Vikuflod, jeep tours and trips to Mýrdalsjökull Glacier can be arranged at Laki Hotel.

Pros +
- The food is incredible!
- The room was clean, the bed comfy and the breakfast was delicious.
- Great views and a fantastic staff. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. They have the largest shower and restroom we experienced in Iceland.
Cons -
- the economy rooms are really very old style and bathrooms are too narrow and not that clean. not worth it but we also stayed in standard room and that was clean and great.
- No not really
- The restaurant is expensive for dinner.
