Expect simple, family-run accommodations, delicious homemade cuisine and stunning views of the sea at Hotel Open Gate. The beach is just a 5-minute walk away. Open Gate's bright and spacious rooms come with air conditioning, free WiFi and their own balconies, all featuring lovely views of the Amalfi Coast and the Mediterranean Sea. Open Gate's terrace restaurant is also a great place to enjoy the views. Watch the sun set over the horizon as you try characteristic local dishes or sip a glass of limoncello liqueur. Exploring the quiet fishing village of Praiano is easy from here, and the rest of the coast is also easily accessible. Busses run from Praiano to Positano and elsewhere and some stop right outside Open Gate. Parking is available free of charge.

- Front desk was really helpful, last minute made sure we got a boat excursion to Capri and even drove us to the stop. Great breakfast super filling! Parking, on main road, close to the beach, bus stops right in front of hotel. Seriously they are underrated
- Delightful/helpful family owners, central location, relaxed "beachy" feel to the room (tile floors and sparse mis-matched furniture), large private terrace overlooking the sea (room 29), on-site parking and excellent restaurant.
Cons -
- Need better beds and I don't like any toiletries that are an all in one do some conditioner and separate body wash and shampoo would be nice but no biggie.
- All was terrific
