Tanque Verde Guest Ranch

Guest ranch is right next to Saguaro National Park (east). There is a hiking/horse trail head into the park at the front gate to the ranch.

Parking in some areas is tricky on gravel. Far eastern edge of town 30+ minute drive through Tucson from interstate 10

The staff was friendly and the location was great.

Our room had lots of webs all over. Bathroom was kinda dirty

The grounds were wonderful. Lots of mature, beautiful cacti and vintage ranch equipment. It was fun to stroll the grounds. The saguaro to the east of the ranch were magnificent. Front desk person was friendly and helpful.

Our room, unit 32, was not special feeling. Outside the window had no artistic touch to the landscape design. It felt like a parking lot. A dead agave plant was depressing. And there was no sheer drape, only a thick drape. All or nothing for light.

The facility and staff were awesome! Very friendly, clean, a wide variety of things to do if horseback riding isn't totally your thing. Food was outstanding also!

A couple of times I caught some of the horse hands (could have been the farrier as his truck was there at the time) using vulgar language. It is a ranch, however they need to be respectful of the fact it is a family ranch.
