Location. We stay at the Hilton Riverside almost every time we are in New Orleans.
The staff was incredible.

Cons -

Damp odor in room
The front desk refuses to accommodate guest's requests. I asked to be put in a renovated room in the tower and he acted as though there were none. We stayed in November and they told us that they had several floors completed and the rest to be completed.

We were offered a $60 upgrade at check-in which gave us a high floor room in the area that was just remodeled. Everything in the room was brand new. The upgrade also gave us breakfast vouchers- amazing buffet- no Hampton Inn buffet- it was really great.

No! Again, new room, great upgrade, perfect staff at every contact, location so convenient- was one of the best stays I have had.
