Desire Riviera Maya Resort All Inclusive - Couples Only

Great fun, nice staff, huge repeat customers says it all. Whatever your interests, gerat place to hang out.

Most restaurants close to our room. We liked the outside coffee shop. Met a lot of great people. Food was very good. Majority of staff excellent.

Breakfast buffet much the same everyday. Most hot items lukewarm. Lunch buffet same. Other breakfast choice reserved for certain members only. A couple of restaurants were closed a couple of days during the week. Concierge did not tell us upon check-in, so until you made reservations you didn’t know. Air conditioning fan in the room rattled all night long. Our room was not cleaned until 5:00 PM or later other than one day. Floors were never scrubbed, bathroom sink was never cleaned during our stay. One of the bulbs in our room was flickering, and another bulb was burned out in the same fixture. Batteries in the TV remote needed to be changed. Types of alcohol and mixes were different at every bar on the property. No consistency. Every day by 11:35 AM standing in line was a must to get a reservation at the restaurant you wanted. Reservations opened at noon.

The road leading into property needs major repairs. Pot holes galore.Hard to get pool chairs due to Members having first choice. Seems unfair since we are a paying customer as well

The unique atmosphere exceeded our expectations. No-pressure resort, beautiful surroundings, intimate setting. All the positive reviews we read before our arrival were spot on. And to manage expectations, this is not a beach property. After a day on the premise, we understood why and were happy it was set up as an enclosed place.

The rooms were small and would need to be updates in the next few years. But it did not matter since there was so much to do outside the room.

The pool and hot tub are rough. People were constantly complaining about how poor the finish on the inside of the pool and hot tub. It rubs the skin off your feet. Hot tub is way too hot. People had to sit on the ledge to cool off.

We enjoyed both buffet and sit down breakfast. Food was very fresh and presentation was gorgeous. food choices were not only delicious but very nutritious.

Excellent service

We got room-2021 Ocean View. It is located next to a room with Jcuzzi. The jacuzzi's pumps are so noisy that it is almost impossible to sleep. After 2 nigths they changed the room, but the damage was done!!.The hotel is really good, but they knew the room was too noisy, so I feel like we were bad treated.

Love the staff… Israel from Sahlo, Elvis from Suki, Ivan at the Beach server and Edgar was great!!! All staff went above and beyond!!

This is not just another resort! It`s for openminded couples only, that accept nudity and enjoy a very erotic atmosphere. We loved our room at Eden, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Whenever you book an "all inclusive" resort you expect food to be average at best, but this is not the case for Desire Eden Riviera Maya! Food was comparable only to fine dining gourmet restaurants and the drinks (spirits and champagne/sparkling wine) was of amazing quality. We strongly recommend the Exotic Spa experience, especially the Fantasy massage for couples (thank you Estrella and Luis!!!). Live show and party every night ! The beach was picturesque with white sand like sugar and at this time of the year (mid April) the sargassum problem wasn`t so big , so we enjoyed the beach a lot

The "sensual pool" was always so overcrowded that was unpleasant to join the pool party, not to mention that there were no sunbeds for everybody : you have to go very early (8:00-8:30am!) to be registered in the waiting list because only members have the privilege to book sunbeds. Anyway we didn`t missed it because of the excessive crowd.The red wine that was included in the "all inclusive" menu was very low quality, which was a surprise given the high quality spirits that were available

Service was friendly, courteous, and exceptional.. The food was great.

Room was small, and bathroom was small and shower flooded the floor when in use.

The environment was amazing. The atmosphere was perfect. The staff was unbelievable. They all made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable and made our memorable occasion that much more enjoyable with their presence and unmatched personalities. Our favorite meal besides the gazebo night was by far kahlo. We believe this restaurant should be a daily option! We stayed in room 2203 the view was incredible, however some small disappointments to mention:For the price we paid for our stay we thought the room was a little underwhelming. The bed was very uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep very well at all. And we believe there is something wrong with the shower. When we used it there was a horrible smell of septic. Possibly due to a missing or broken Ptrap in the drain? Overall this was by far our favorite vacation to date and plan to return in the future for sure. We welcome any promotional content and deals and or questions about our stay and look forward to return and see everyone again. We will miss everyone very much. Thank you all so much for everything. We will remember this one forever!!

The hotel environment was really welcoming. The staff always attentive and cleanliness of our room and the entire property was excellent.

Wonderful experience! Excepcional service, all very friendly staff. We got an up grade for THE EDEN and the room is perfect. The leisure team is fantastic and we love the night parties! 10 for the restaurants and the F&B team, they are so wonderful! A special mention for Maggi - guest service. She was so kind to us! We back soon!

Before going we were sceptical of all the glowing reviews but, seriously, absolutely everything is on the highest level- our room was very comfortable & spacious- a perk of booking here we understand! ;), the facilities are luxurious, very well planned & maintained, the food isn't on the absolute highest level but still excellent (esp the breakfast), the direct contact staff are all amazing: always super friendly & helpful, and we met so many cool cool people among the other guests. Highly recommend.

The one black mark goes to one individual member of the management team. We had 2 nights there and on our 2nd night I sustained a small injury which was unfortunate but also clearly & totally the resort's responsibility. It killed our 2nd night (for which we had paid a lot of money) but the support from the various members of staff in the immediate aftermath, esp the fantastic onsite doctor, was absolutely first rate- thank you once again to all of you! Unfortunately, the one member of junior management we had to speak to the next day dealt with the situation in very very poor fashion & with a total lack of class. It was incredibly disappointing & soured our experience quite considerably but this person was young & undoubtedly inexperienced in such situations & I hope/believe they learnt a lot from it. Thankfully this person's direct superior, Miguel, stepped in and it was a different story- absolutely first rate customer service from a very busy guy :) Thank you Miguel- your staff are amazing & you upheld the values that they uphold for this amazing resort every day, I appreciate & thank you all.

The culinary offerings at Desire RM were simply exceptional. We were spoilt for choice with a wide array of delectable dishes that catered to every palate. From mouthwatering international cuisines to sumptuous local delicacies, every bite was an explosion of flavors. The chefs at the resort truly created culinary masterpieces that satisfied our every craving. We express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the entire culinary team for continuously surpassing our expectations. But what truly made our experience at DRM unforgettable was the way it made us feel

The price is a bit high

Resort is cozy and not so big, nice garden, very good atmosphere with people, quiet area along the beach far from the noise of the pool. Nice views from the jacuzzi on the roof top. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The resort is 4 stars but it lacks the quality of a 4-star hotel, the garden rooms are small, the furniture very basic, the beach has lots of seaweeds although the resort is cleaning every day. We also stayed at the Riviera Maya Peral which is much more upscale with top quality and service. There is more life-style activity at the Riviera Maya than at the Pearl, but beach, accommodation, beach and resort we liked much more. Given that the price is almost the same at Riviera Maya compared to Riviera Maya Pearl, you get much more for your money at the Pearl.
