The Belsfield Hotel

The location was perfect. It was great having easy parking as well. The hotel is fantastic. The food was excellent. We had our breakfast and two evening meals and the food was delicious and good value. I have to mention the staff. They were all very welcoming,friendly and helpful. Miguel and Nick on the bar and restaurant were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for you and were so friendly and polite.A special mention goes to Phil.When we first arrived we just mentioned we were a bit disappointed with our room. It was one of the ones not yet refurbished and had scaffolding up outside.He went above and beyond and moved us to a refurbished room close to reception. All done with a smile and "no problem at all".We were very grateful.I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back to stay again.

Wine is very overpriced ,£68 for a bottle of chateau neuf de pape ,which I usually buy for £22

It was so close to the center

This stay was for our wedding anniversary. The shower wouldn't get hot so couldn't shower at all during our stay which was so disappointing

Hotel is undergoing renovations - this is very noticeable; areas half painted/walls chipped/removed exposing what is underneath. Room was ok - we were 'upgraded' for free which was a nice gesture, however I wonder what the original room would have been like if this was the grade. Tiny rooms, no lock/bolt/chain on door and light streamed through door throughout the night.breakfast itself was fine, however the area was not well set out - plates in the corner and very 'busy'.staff in bar/restaurant were lovely; reception was fine, but not friendly. They also receive £100 on your card, not £50 as stated, in case that makes a difference to anyone.really disappointed in our stay.

Beautiful hotel and the views were outstanding. Charlie in reception was warm and friendly upon arrival and during the stay. Remembering our names each time was a warming touch x

Bath did not drain well when showering, room 28, shower gel very small amount in the pots.

Not long enough there

The reception staff are unprofessional.Room service is very poor.They do not care about cleaning the bathroom or the room.They leave the beds dirty.

They need proper training on how to communicate with guests.The reception staff also require training courses on how to deal professionally with people.There is a staff member named Diego who is extremely rude and unprofessional.

Someone frantic knocking on the room door while I was in the shower to say there was a leak and I had to jump out semi naked.

The hotel is perfectly situated right in the heart of Bowness. It overlooks the lake and we were lucky enough to receive a compliemntaty upgrade to a lake view room which was beautiful. The room, bathroom and bed were all huge and very clean. The hotel has had a recent refurbishment and it’s obvious with brand new carpets throughout and a fresh lick of paint in communal rooms. The bar and breakfast rooms are spacious and well decorated with the former overlooking the lake which is very pleasant in the morning. The hotel breakfast had everything you could think of, the crossaints and muffins were particularly delicious!

Nothing, I would stay here again.

room was small, had to reverse into the bathroom and im not a large a bloke. bed wasn't comfy at all woke up with a bad back,

Nice and clean, plenty of parking, friendly staff and very helpful. Lovely room and en-suite. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

Only negative was the charge for parking which was £15 for overnight. Apparently it says it is chargeable on the website and app but I must of missed it.

Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff specially Charlie! We loved our lake view room which was so spacious. The place was so peaceful. Will stay again in the future.

We’ve just returned from an incredible stay celebrating my wife’s birthday, and everything about our visit was exceptional. Every member of staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to make our stay special.We were kindly upgraded to a stunning four-poster room complimentary by the hotel, which made the occasion even more memorable. It was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had, and we will absolutely be returning in the future.A special thank you to Taylor, the bar manager, for being so accommodating and going above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time.

Good room with a great view, really appreciated the upgrade. The tea and warm scones were much enjoyed.

Breakfast was not as relaxing as we would have liked. It would be helpful to have a printed menu for breakfast. We did not receive what we requested even though it had been written down!

The location was lovely. The food at dinner was very tasty. The room was large and had a great TV and the shower was very good.The staff were all lovely and friendly with good banter from Taylor and Pugs (Ian).Miguel and Philip were also extremely helpful and friendly.

Some of the hot food at breakfast was not hot, just lukewarm.We did not think the selection was particularly high quality/choice for the price you pay for breakfast. More cereal and a better selection of yoghurts, fresh fruits would be nice.The bed was not particularly comfortable.

Really close to the town and overlooking the lake. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. They were all just so lovely!

The room was a little too small for the the price paid. I was not happy with a card only policy in the bar, I would rather use cash, if I'd known when I made the booking I might have thought twice. Also being a patron of the hotel I would have thought there would be no charge for parking
