Quiet room

Out of way place,no soap bathroom,welcome pack hidden away corner shelfStaff not very welcoming More an events/meetings sort of hotel,not great for individual traveler,travel lodge does better breakfast

Lovely room, friendly staff

Parking was an issue when i returned - car park full with visitors to an event - I had to park at the very far end of car park

The views from the hotel and gardens were amazing and so peaceful looking across Yorkshire . The food in Henry 8 restaurant was second to none and the dinner was incredible. So cosy and homely... I would come back again 1000%

We were given a lovely room with its own courtyard.Very clean and comfortable.Lovely nights sleep.

Everything was good.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff (all of them), good location, very quiet (when the festivities have finished).

Perfect setting in a lovely hotel with beautiful relaxing gardens.Delicious dinner. The barbeque chicken wings are amazing.. completely unique and delighted my taste buds. Cannot describe how tasty they are. Highly comfortable bed... best sleep I've ever had in a hotel.Breakfast had different choices.. the full English breakfast is a winner!

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, and good facilities. We also had a good meal in the evening and the service was very friendly.

Breakfast was quite limited other than the cooked items. No natural yoghurt, pastries etc and only sliced bread for toasting. Also coffee was from a hotplate not freshly made.

The hotel and the grounds around it are stunning. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were super helpful and friendly.

We got upgraded from a double to a bungalow with an amazing view. The bathroom was spotless and smelt of bleach which i love. Room was very clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was full english, really good. Also had cerials, jam nd nutella options for the toast, fresh fruit and yogurt. Tea and coffee and different fresh juices. Tea and coffee in the room and buscuits

Probably more milk in the room. My partner made us 1 bru and used 2 milk in each so had non left for the night and first thing in the morning ? but not really a complaint

Stunning location with beautiful scenery and gardens. Room, one of the bungalows, was lovely with its own little patio to sit outside. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and gluten free aware. Short walk into town.

Only one hand towel. Could be more hot breakfast choices - only a full English available.

Cant think of any Would have liked a bigger room but that what we paid for so no complaints

Gorgeous setting and garden views amazing.Staff experience was outstanding and food was beautiful ?. The castle close and the tulip festival at Copley farm on the same road. Bus stop nearby and the racecourse not far. Definitely stay again ?

I felt that everything was brilliant and definitely a great spot to go.

Needed a fridge as the bar closed at 6pm and nowhere to store refreshments in the room.

This is a large hotel, clearly geared up for big weddings, gigs and other events, but less so for a couple who just want a quiet night. The food was uneven: we had a great lasagne, a tough steak with soggy chips, a decent but unremarkable breakfast. I would stay here again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Switched us to accessible room to avoid stairs for my husband..On site restaurant with fixed price menu during week.Good full english breakfast includedGood wedding venue. Lovely view and grounds.

My sat navigation took us to nearby housing estate instead!

It was homely and comfortable. The Bungalow had tiled floor but the underfloor heating made it very comfortable to walk on. The main hotel was also warm and inviting and the food was excellent and presently very nicely. It’s set a lovely grounds with fantastic views across open land.

The location

The facilities was poor and the staff was rude and not accommodating and music was blasting till early hours of morning with people banging all down the hallways

Room was spacious and we had bungalows so was out the way of everyone liked the little outside yard. The food was excellent we liked having a bar on site their was plenty of parking .

Some staff not everyone didn't seem that friendly or go out their way just little touches could of been shown to our room at breakfast we weren't asked if wanted any sauces or if our food was ok server seemed more preoccupied with their phone our room seemed to have a green light on it that we couldn't switch off so toke us a while to sleep and weird alarm went off when we were leaving not sure about that on one of the evenings we weren't advised that the normal dining area wasn't going to be available and would have to go into main building maybe could of mentioned it when we booked a table

Nice hotel but unfortunately our room had a frosted glass window, which when we opened it to get some fresh air, realised why, it opened on a compound where all the bins where kept right outside our window. (Didn’t sleep with it open as we would have liked). Although the room was clean and decorated nicely you could feel bed mattress springs in your back during the night so wasn’t very comfortable. We were also overcharged in the restaurant for drinks which we had already paid for but were put on our tab. Which was refunded when we complained.

Small double room was very small which is fine as only needed it for one night , not a great view from window as at the back of the hotel of a hedge and a roof . Food was fantastic and facilities good as attended for a wedding . One receptionist was very rude and I did speak to the reception on check out . Other thank that clean and very nice .
