The price was good. The bed was very comfy and the hotel was quiet. Throughout the entire weekend, we were one out of maybe five guests max at this location.
The room smelled great. The pool & hottub were enjoyable The breakfast was delicious. I would of welcomed a larger variety of fruit.

Liked the room overlooking the lake and it was very big so that we could move around with scooter.
The location is excellent and there is plenty of outdoor and under cover parking. There is a good choice of eateries in and around the hotel.I would recommend the hotel on location alone at this time.

Lady at the front was very kind. The room was dated and dirty and not cleaned properly. In the morning I was congested, I am allergic to dust and the place I guess was dusty. The carpets were dirty and there was pet hair and paper on the couch.

The rooms were renovated in 2024 and it definitely shows. The bed, desk, etc were all in great shape and benefitted from being refreshed. The bathroom was redone, but it's on the smaller side, so it's more practical than impressive.
The rooms were funky with the floor lights. Like the fact that the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom/shower area.

Top Tips
- Secure your summer stay early. Penticton hotels fill quickly for July-August and events like Peachfest, with over 80% of lakefront and downtown rooms typically selling out during peak periods. Book 3 to 6 months in advance to lock in preferred locations and better rates; flexible cancellation policies are often available outside of festival dates.
- Confirm airport transportation from Penticton Airport (YYF) in advance. Public transit is limited and ride-share services can be unreliable or unavailable after 20:00. Many hotels offer shuttle service (fees may apply). Pre-book a taxi or reserve a rental car for arrivals after hours.
- Summer temperatures in Penticton commonly exceed 35°C (95°F), so verify that your room includes air conditioning if you are heat sensitive. Free outdoor parking is standard, but some properties charge up to $15 nightly for secure or garage parking; check your hotel's parking terms before booking.
- Expect to pay 5% GST, 8% PST, and a Municipal Regional District Tax (MRDT) of 3% or higher on hotel bills. At check-in, you’ll need government-issued photo ID and a credit card for a deposit, often $100 to $200; debit cards may not be accepted for pre-authorizations.
- Use sites like TripAdvisor or Google for reviews, then call the hotel directly to verify must-haves such as room orientation, noise level, pet policy, or kitchen access. Not all online listings include floor plans or detailed amenities.
- Cancellation policies are tighter from June-August, with many hotels using a 7-day or longer penalty window during festivals or holidays. Confirm the exact cancellation deadline when booking to avoid penalties if your plans change.
- Pre-arrange a car rental or guided tour for winery and lake excursions. The Okanagan wine region has over 40 wineries located 10 to 30 km from central Penticton. Book at least 2 weeks ahead; most major hotels can connect you with tour operators.
- Follow Canadian tipping etiquette: restaurant servers receive 15-20%, bartenders $1.30 to $2.70 CAD ($1 to $2 USD approx.) per drink, and bellhops $1.30 to $2.70 CAD ($1 to $2 USD approx.) per bag. Housekeeping is typically tipped $2.70 to $6.80 CAD ($2 to $5 USD approx.) daily. Some hotels let you charge tips to your room; confirm at check-in.
- Request a quiet room away from pools, elevators, or main street noise, especially if you need a suitable environment for rest or work. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for a $15 to $30 fee, depending on real-time availability.
- Not all Penticton hotels provide high-speed Wi-Fi. Average speeds range from 10 to 50 Mbps; confirm speed if you need reliable video calls or remote work. Ask about access to a business center, meeting rooms, or 24/7 front desk support as available.
- Pack essentials fit for the local climate. Daytime highs often exceed 30°C, while evenings can drop below 15°C (59°F). Bring sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and layers. Many hotel front desks can lend adapters, irons, or hairdryers if these are missing from your room.
- Always check pet fees and accessibility features in advance—pet stays may add $10 to $30 CAD nightly and accessibility varies by property. Step-free and elevator access are not universal, especially in older hotels. Smoking is prohibited in all public indoor areas and most rooms, with cleaning fees of $200 or more for violations.
- Prioritize personal safety by locking vehicles, using the hotel safe for valuables, and never leaving items unattended at Okanagan Lake beaches. For hiking or boating, check local weather updates with hotel staff or refer to Environment Canada between June and September.
- Ask about bundled packages like wine tour passes, complimentary bike rentals, or BBQ area use, which are often available with direct hotel bookings. Packages can help save on local activities or upgrades, especially outside festival dates when availability is higher.
- Choose your hotel by traveler type: solo visitors may prefer properties downtown within 600 m of dining and waterfront paths, while families often prioritize pools and kitchen suites near Okanagan Lake. If traveling for business, confirm 24/7 reception and reliable Wi-Fi. Early morning flights from YYF may require staying overnight due to limited airport transport.
