    • The view from my roomWas pretty . The staff was nice .

    Cons -

    • I checked in at 12 Noon on July 1st, 2022 & checked out at 2 pm same day as air quality is unhealthy, it smells like sewer or gas leak and you can smell it everywhere at the beach at the Pool at the restaurants even at the room. Sea water contaminated.
    • NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL, definitely a rip off. Beach and poor were both very dirty.
    • Buffet food was always cold . Mixed communication on trying to book restaurant reservations . They never had pool towels mid day . Had to wait for 1 or 2 hours for a clean towel . My bathroom shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom. Waited hours to get towels to dry it up . My husband had to walk down and get stern with manager . We wanted it dried up and more towels to take a shower on our 1st night of arrival . O yeah the worst road to drive into . Potholes right in front of the hotel and around the corner. Horrible horrible road . Very tacky !!

Room & view were the only thing we liked. Oh the gentleman/waiter who was the coordinator for the New Year’s Eve dinner I had ordered for the 4 adults & 1 child was the best host in the entire hotel! This guy needs to be promoted to a position of leadership!

Based on my room rate I had a personal concierge who was never available until the last day when he offered his services w/an attitude. A really rude attitude. No one answered the phone ever. The reception nor concierge nor housekeeping. Pool service sucked and the waiters never smiled; seemingly very indifferent. The pool was freezing cold. Albeit the sargasso was bad, which I can understand that’s not a hotel issue, but the staff in general were very unfriendly and impatient. The cafeteria had the best food and yes only there were the servers amicable. The food in the Italian restaurant was truly not good.

The rooms were nice and spacious. Pools were nice- but water was too cold for winter.

Need at least one more a la carte restaurant based on the size of the resort.Perhaps change the club near the tea house to a Japanese Teppanyaki? Also- many of the menu items from the app listing were really not available. Beach was not well maintained. Property overall was under- staffed- maybe that’s why the Mexican and Italian restaurants did not have enough tables and chairs in those spaces. Pool and had wasted space and could have more chaise loungers and seating options. Buffett had entire stations that did not offer didn’t food options- there is an Asian option that was always closed as well as a pizza oven that was never used. Lastly- we have been to many all inclusive resorts and we have NEVER had to pay for non motorized water sports!

The hotel was clean. Rooms and common areas were well maintained and cleaned regularly.

Very disappointing experience — would not recommend, especially for families with childrenUnfortunately, our stay at Sensira Spa & Resort was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue by far was the food. The buffet has a very limited selection, with almost nothing suitable for children. There is absolutely no variety — during our 6-night stay, sushi was served only once, and it honestly felt like leftovers from the previous night’s seafood dinner. What is truly unacceptable is how the hotel handles food allergies.Every single day before seating us, staff ask whether there are any allergies. We always clearly stated that our child has a severe nut allergy, including peanuts. Yet despite this, the only ice cream available for children was vanilla ice cream containing crushed PEANUTS.There were no warning signs, no labels, no allergen information whatsoever. Our child, who is allergic, touched this ice cream with the tip of his tongue before we realized what it contained. Thankfully, he did not take a bite or swallow it — otherwise we would have had to use an EpiPen immediately. This could have turned into a medical emergency. This level of negligence is extremely dangerous and unacceptable, especially for a resort that claims to be family-friendly.Another daily frustration was the constant waiting.Every morning we had to stand in line for 20 minutes just to get into the buffet, clearly due to a lack of staff. Then another 20 minutes to get towels and secure a spot by the pool. This completely ruined any sense of relaxation. We also had serious issues with our room. We paid for a sea view, but were given a pool view with only a tiny strip of ocean visible. It took three days of repeatedly asking before our room was finally changed. We were also celebrating a special occasion — my husband’s birthday. The hotel promised a surprise or some kind of gesture, but nothing at all was done. The ocean was very dirty, and this was not due to seaweed.

Kids activities amazing. Food good for most part except breakfast.

Inconsistent messaging with reservations restaurants. Some nights couldn’t get anything even though it wasn’t busy.

    6ElizabethPosted on: 11-15-2025

That is was close to the property I needed to get to.

It was so loud with music all day long and a bunch of screaming kids. Also the service was mediocre at best.

    9AnnPosted on: 11-8-2025

We loved the amenities provided for families. The pool, trampoline park, movie theater, kids club, zip line, and restaurants all considered families in their approach and design. We loved the dinner we had at the steakhouse, and the mechanical bull riding entertainment there is something we will remember. The staff at the hotel were friendly and provided fantastic service. We weren't sure if our 6 and 9-year-old daughters would enjoy the kids' club, but it ended up being hard to get them out of there! They loved the activities and friendly staff there. We had some troubles with our initial room at check-in, but the reception staff helped us resolve the issue, and we were so happy with our stay.

Leaving! :) And the beach is really not so nice. I know the seaweed is out of the resort's control, but it makes the beach unswimmable. Nice to look at from a distance, but up close, it was not pleasant.

    Thanks, but no thanks

The shower: water flooding after every shower, it was so bad that it went out into the hall. Facility management came and had to put silicon around the shower cabin. It improved afterwards. Another issue was to discover at 7am that the elevators were not working because they were stopped during the night. I found out while going to check out and by carrying 2 suitcases and a backpack. Since the room was on the 5th floor and I couldn't go by stairs with the suitcases, I had to go back to the room and call reception. Nobody answered. Had to leave the suitcases in the room and go by myself to the reception and ask them to bring them. Another thing, it's hallucinating to find the rooms on the 5th floor going with the elevator, best is to take the elevator close to the pools. Otherwise, it takes 20 minutes to find it going from the Lobby.Food in general was average.

I loved that everything was within distance of the rooms. Breakfast was buffet style and so easy to get in and out. We traveled with kids and food was great, no waiting for restaurants. Snacks offered throughout the day. Snack stands next to pools. Staff was amazing. The kids had a blast. Totally worth it and recommend Sensira resort and spa.

Did not like the drive to get to the hotel. The roads were uneven and a bit scary. We took a taxi and felt as it was going to get stuck in one of the potholes. The road heading to the hotel really needs some TLC.

The hotel was lovely and the rooms were upgraded. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, and the food—especially at the restaurants—was excellent. The kids’ pool kept our two children entertained all day, which was a huge plus. However, the beach was not swimmable due to heavy seaweed, and unfortunately, the hotel didn’t make much effort to clean it up. If a great beach is important to you, this might not be the best choice. That said, we were only there for three days and our kids were happy with the pool, so overall, aside from the beach, everything else was perfect.

No beach ! It will be be boring for a long stay .

It's clean and lots of activities for kids and restaurants have variety of foods

Reservations on good restaurants are almost impossible

    The staff were amazing.

The excessive amount of seaweed on the beach, the food was just okay and it was a stench in the air that was horrible.

It’s clean and comfortable. Best option for kids and it has good entertainment.

    2MaeghanPosted on: 4-9-2025

Nice ocean view from the room and pool. Good amenities for kids

Grounds were dirty and unkept. AC didn’t work in our room the first night and the water didn’t work the last night. The grounds were unkept and dirty. Limited food options. False advertisement saying they had 8 restaurants and 5 bars

    10menach1Posted on: 4-4-2025

The food was really good, every child found their favorites which is not easy. Plenty of kids activities not usually found in any hotel including zipline, multiple air hockey and pool tables, Tennis court and mini golf. Staff was wonderful, very attentive, calm and welcoming, never had to wait for anything they delivered right away!. Location is very good, pools are 10 meters from the beach. Concierge and Valle were awesome!

Sea algae is affecting the sea experience but the staff did whatever they can trying to clean it. Also, if you are considering renting a car to travel while in the hotel, make sure it is not a very low chasse car, the road from the main road to the hotel is pretty bumpy to say the least.

    1LauraPosted on: 4-2-2025

The staff is professional and welcoming. Easy to contact and happy to help. However, the pool staff is corrupted by the customers and they won't do anything to prevent the selfish people to leave their towels on the chairs all day. They receive tips to keep their eyes shut.

Everything else. The hotel is light years away from what we expect, in a bad way. Okay it's nice and have a lot of amenities but:- super noisy, there are customers and kids shouting and crying at 6 am in the swimming pool and in the hallways,- the air-conditioning is too strong everywhere,- the food is very average, nothing crazy and even bad. We even had to throw away some food because the cook used the same fork to prepare cooked beef and raw chicken (very high risk for salmonella!!)- the curtains in the room are not dark enough so expect to be woken up at 5 am- super loud music and activities all day long, it's impossible to rest,- expect to wake up at 5am to hope to have the chance to put a blanket on a chair or you'll be rejected to put a towel in the sandI might forget some other points but finally we had a feeling to be in a golden noisy cage. First and last time in a resort of this type.
