- 1. My room was unprepared after I checked in. There are no complimentary drinking water, no bathroom mat, no soap, no shampoo. 2. No 24-hour front desk3. The toilet bowl leaked.4. Charging points do not make sense in the room. 5. Fridge is not functional.6. There was no phone in the room which can be used to call the front desk.7. Hotel manager was not around when I need help.8. Balcony was dirty.9. One of the toilet roll was used and not replaced with a new one.10. The bathroom is dirty.11. Water heater does not work. 12. TV did not work.13. Poor hospitality service.

Great central location up a stone staircase that gives it a uniquely secret and local feel, and all for a decent price. I had a room with a view on Fansipan (sadly also some noise from a nearby building site but not too bad). Big room and bathroom. Clean.
Bit of noise from builders nearby. Guy in reception was friendly but his English was pretty limited so I ended up getting onward bus tickets somewhere else. Which is no problem at all in a place like Sapa.
