Hanan Hotel Tagaytay - Formerly Tagaytay Wingate Manor

We opt for room service breakfast, we waited for almost 1hr for the food to be deliver and they didn't gave us the coffee the staff told us to be follow but never came back.

The location - a few kilometres (or less) from restaurants.

The property needs refurbishing. The price is a bit too much for the quality of the property as a whole. There are a lot of bugs during night time.

I liked that it was about a 2 to 3-minute drive from the wedding reception venue that we worked in, especially because it was late at night, and travelling too far from the venue was undesirable. I also liked that there was drinking water, with a dispenser outside of the rooms. Only thing was that the gallon container was practically empty, so we asked for a refill the following morning when there was staff around the area.

The room smelled moldy, so I aired the room for a while, and then later asked the attending staff for Lysol which I sprayed myself. Room is dated, and the staff mentioned that it was due for renovation.

Staff are courteous and nice. Breakfast is good. The room is spacious.

It is very clean. The bed is very comfortable. The staff is very nice. The place is quiet and surrounding area has hills and trees. I felt safe and at home. For the low price, it's good value.

There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. It's far from the main road, which is good for the peace and quiet, and bad if you don't have a car (although you can ride a tricycle). The hotel is surrounded by nature but not very walkable without sidewalks (nothing the hotel can do about).Some upgrades would help. Although it's working, the Aircon is old and has weird cotton-like thing in the vent. TV has few channels. Maybe installing a smart TV would be nice.

I like how good the staff was very approachable. The room is clean with toiletries provided.

The staff was truly accommodating of our questions and needs since we were travelling with a handful of minors with us. I liked that they also have upgraded their security by installing key card system and increased cctvs.

You get what you pay for. Simple stay. Like a house with a pool turned into a hotel. One positive point is, it's near the restaurants, and the place is quiet.

Location

Restaurant was closed for the day because of a wedding, but they didn’t allow food delivery. Didn’t have any diet sodas on premise.

Location is great and very safe

Rooms are worn out, needs more maintenance especially a/c units.

I like the promo offered, the Customer Service and the garden view.

The Bathroom has no anti slip mat and there is a need to improve the bathroom. The aircon need to be serviced for cleaning.

Location was away from main highway noise. Was a quiet area most of the day and through the night, which I valued. The pool was decent and not over-clorinated. The staff were friendly and personal.

Toilet paper was thin and ran out. Not additional rolls in the room. Difficult to get warm water to come for a shower. Just 2 large bath towels supplied, no smaller ones. In 2 1/2 day stay, no fresh towels offered or any cleaning offered, BUT it IS lower-priced, so did not have high expectations on these small matters.

Disappointing

Good overall experience. Check in was easy even though we came late. Rooms are reasonable for the price.

Quite far from the main roads, so You need some form of transportation which can be difficult at late time.

1. Limited local channels in the room TV. Recommend improving entertainment selections (i.e. installing smart TVs to allow phone mirroring or better cable service provider)2. Operator phone number "0" does not answer despite calling during times of operations per the provided hotel policy.3. WIFI does not connect to internet.

The staff were very enthusiastic and possibly the best part about the stay, since they were always smiling and happy to help with our concerns and answer our queries. We were allowed to check in early, and we enjoyed the facilities a lot. There are seating areas on the second floor, and the pool is a nice place to lounge by. If you need to get around without a car, the staff can call a trike for you.
