Koomankolly Heritage Resort

We had a pleasant stay in bamboo hut.. This property is near to tirunelli temple.. Staff was exceptionally cordial and had a very good experience with interacting with them..Highly recommended for family to enjoy calm and peaceful stay..Will definitely visit again...

Amazing location and very special environment - the bamboo huts and grounds of Koomankolly makes it a very special place, with ponds, meditation space and dining area, it feels like it's own universe. Food was fantastic, especially in the evening.

Staff could be more knowledgable about local hiking opportunities. Arranging a visit to Nagarahole felt more complicated than it needed to be, however it did get sorted.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Koomankolly Heritage Resort, and my experience was both enriching and relaxing.The highlight of my stay was the deep cultural immersion. The resort offers unique experiences, It was inspiring to witness the way the resort partners with the local community, promoting the preservation of tribal traditions. The interactions felt respectful, and there was a strong emphasis on learning rather than exploitation.This resort excels in eco-friendly practices. From solar-powered facilities to organic locally sourced food, their commitment to sustainability is evident. The accommodation is designed with natural materials, blending into the environment seamlessly without compromising comfort. The eco-huts were a perfect example of how modern amenities can coexist with a natural setting. The resort’s waste management and water conservation initiatives were commendable, contributing positively to the tribal region.It was great to see the resort employ local staff, which not only supports the community economically but also enhances the authenticity of the experience.The rooms were simple yet elegant, offering a rustic charm that complemented the tribal environment and lot of hand paintings. Each room was designed in a unique way to showcase tribal craftsmanship, making the accommodation feel like a cultural experience in itself. The facilities, while minimalistic, provided everything needed for a comfortable stay – clean rooms, excellent hospitality, and stunning views of the surrounding nature.The resort is nestled in a beautiful location, surrounded by untouched nature. Whether it was watching the sunrise over the hills or taking a nature walk through the forests and river, the scenery was breathtaking. Wildlife sightings were a bonus, with the chance to see local species in their natural habitat.Overall, this is a perfect destination for anyone looking to unplug and experience a slower, more meaningful way of life.

Nothing as such.. one will love it!!!

The resort and the rooms are unusual in a good way, close to the nature and with nice views.The staff is friendly and easygoing.

My bathroom was a bit outdated and not super clean.No WiFi/network.

The staff were super helpful especially Deepak and Jithin.

The staff response was exceptional. Just a call and they are there at any time to provide you any assistance. The place is located in such a way where you can relax and not bothered about anything. If you need wifi and networks other than Jio then it’s not a right place. If you’re carrying a dongle along then you will enjoy the hospitality to the core. Very understanding and friendly staff. Happy with the place. The roads are awesome in Kerala! I have to mention this cuz it sucks in Karnataka ?

Scenic peaceful non commercial location, away from the madding crowd. Homely food made by tribal cook.

This was our second visit to this resort, after two years. The staff were new and also, the resort wasn't that well maintained compared to our previous visit.

The food was good, although they charged ₹750 for dinner and breakfast, which I felt was on the higher side.

The Puttu for the Complimentary Breakfast was made out of Request in Person which I loved a lot.

The location is not recommended for kids less than the age of 5 as the steps and the pavement are too narrow and steep.

The location was amazing and the way the individual quarters were organised. the breakfast was good.

providing with an electric kettle and a pair of mugs wouldn’t have disturbed our morning routines. also, the bathroom could have been maintained a bit more neater

Tranquil setting, helpful manager (though he's often not on site), great views of nature, nice food.

Not much to do if you wanted to stay more than a few nights, I thought it's a little expensive, sadly the nearby temple doesn't let in foreigners. Staff who are left in charge speak very limited English, but it was fine. Overall lovely place!

Excellent location, good mountain views surrounding. Nice ambience in the evening. Food options are limited but very tasty. Very friendly and courteous staff.

-Cottage room was too hot in the afternoon, fan was not helping. Discussed the same with the owner, they had later plans to keep grass on roof. - No mobile signal( for Airtel there). To call support staff/room service, only mobile number is provided , no intercom facility.- Water wasn't there in early morning 5.30am. Had to step out in search of finding some staff , but was in vain (no phone option to contact as mentioned above) Later found someone around 7am and he promptly started the water supply pump.

Location & Ambience

Food was very horrible. We asked for roasted chicken in dinner, but were served morning chicken gravy which we had for our lunch. Dal fry was totally rubbish , could not have our dinner.

The room and bathroom was clean. The property is very well maintained with greenery all around. Its a good place to unwind and relax.

Since this place is remote, no major restaurants or hotels nearby. The food options available at the resort are very limited . Especially for vegetarians like us it was quite difficult . we had lunch and dinner there and the food did not taste well unfortunately. They had given us complimentary breakfast the next morning which was good.

Wished the washbasin was a bit bigger.Also availability of hot water .The heater works kn solar.It was rainy.cant really blame them though.The staff had to bring hot water to the room.Nice gesture.

A very well planned farmstay. The owner upgraded us to a bigger cottage. The food was also very tasty.

There was an issue with the electricity that night. The solar power system was faulty and we absolutely couldnt sleep because of frequent fluctuations the whole night. This is my only negative point about the stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the resort. The staff (especially Santhosh) was really kind and prompt with the hospitality and service. Had a great chat with the host as well. We celebrated a special occasion there and were super happy with the delicious home-made cake delivered at a short notice. All arrangements were top-notch. Food was homely and good.

Too many power-cuts. I hope this can be taken care of.

Amazing eco friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty and hygienic food. Recommend to all the nature lovers. Hat's off to the team for coming up with the resort focused on environment conservation. Will definitely turn up next time. Heartfelt gratitude to Nithin, the manager and to all the staff who did their best with their own specific service. Garden and the paddy field view was breath taking.

Privacy. Eg: slight noise disturbance from the neighborhood. But, the staff had cleared out the very next day. Hat's off to the team
