Vythiri Resort

I had such a wonderful time at this tropical resort. The place has everything you need, with all the amenities taken care of. The breakfast and dinner buffets were huge, mostly featuring Indian and Asian dishes. What I really appreciated was that the restaurant manager considered our request to adjust the spice levels for foreign guests. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the best part was being able to sit back and listen to the sounds of nature right from the balcony. Overall, it was a delightful experience that I’d happily recommend.

The family treehouse was large enough for a family of 4. Really good location next to a flowing river so you can hear the sound of the rushing water at night when you are sat on outside the room. The food was great - we had breakfast and dinner and the spread was good for both meals.

We missed lunch on the first day so it would have been nice if they offered a mini packed lunch for the next day.

Pristine ,clean, luxurious and amazing staff

We had a super time . They offer Ayurveda wellness massage - we took that - it was fine. However, vythiri should offer a more soothing massage option not just the Ayurveda options. The reason being , folks who are there for couple days may just need a more relaxing option .

Wonderful place in Wayanad. You could spend there days in this beautiful surrounding and just listen to the sounds of nature. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Walking tours (included) with the guide are great. Staff is very helpful and did the best for a pleasant stay.

Rooms were good and clean. Staff was very enthusiastic and helpful . Location is great.

Food was average . Very basic Amenities for what they charge.

The property is located in the midst of a forest which was very relaxing

We thought the restaurant was not accessible for elderly parents and there was no local food server even after asking for local Kerala food

Just the authentic Kerala Cuisine that was served at the restaurant. Mr.Manoj and Mr.Praveen tried to keep us comfortable.

Approach road of 3.5kms is pathetic. Have to find the road in that stretch. There was no mention anywhere of no TV and no Bar even on their website. Usually resorts who do not offer this make sure they inform the guests in advance, we have stayed in other properties who inform their guests in advance ! The housekeeping was pathetic, they never cleaned our room till we had to force them to! Spa is not something great, have been at other spas which actually rejuvenate you after a massage, here it did not really feel great after the massage. The continental options and salad options in food was really bad! Why offer it when you cannot deliver!

Beautuful resort deep in the forest. The rooms and the buildings retain traditional features and the whole place exudes an old world charm. Tranquil and peaceful surroundings and we found some beautiful forest trails. Take care when hiking due to Elephant danger .Our room ( vythri haven) was lovely and overlooked the stream, which must be very impressive in the monsoon.All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we felt very much at home.A special mention to Manoj Kumar, and his team in the restaurant and kitchen who went out of their way to serve us with new delicious daily surprises ... not an easy task as we had requested vegan and satvic food. They excelled themselves. Thank you

Room, as it was next to the river and was a little dark, had a slight musty smell.. which will be worse in the monsoon .Was tolerable now

Very big rooms. Service was really good. A good buffet in the restaurant. The spa is a must visit.

WiFi is a bit difficult there but it is understandable due to the remote location.

The staff, the platter of food, the cleanliness every was amazing, the staff were very helpful and nice . The room service was prompt

We stayed in one of the tree houses. The experience was exceptional. Never have we experienced nature from such close quarters.The facilities were of a five star property. We were escorted to our tree house by a guard everytime . A must to do for all nature lovers.All the meals were elaborate and had delicious local cuisine. The cleaniness and upkeep of the resort was great and the staff was very warm and welcoming.

the property is clean and beautiful. no doubt about that. Buffet is good. Rooms are very large. Waterfalls inside properties are good but again it is a very small waterfall so don’t expect too much.

no amenities that should have been standard for 15000/day room. e.g no hand towels in bathroom, no ice or scarcity of ice because some large group logged in and they need to share among all, no refrigerator in the room, no air conditioning (however I do agree you won’t miss it that much) unless you are bothered very easily with humidity. Bath (full) towels are provided but they are so worn out and overused that you will literally not want to use it. Spa is below average. For steam bath you will be sitting in a pressure cooker (yes you heard it right) produced steam chamber waiting to blow up for whatever reasons. at-least that looks very scary and I am pretty sure that would be a fire hazard in any other country. The approach road to the resort (last 2 miles) is one hellof a ride. There are no ditches on the road but the road inside ditches.

Food was good, rooms were neat and maintained. Location was beautiful and peaceful.

Expensive, not worth that much money for a night
