Lamington Hotel Motel - Detached Motel

The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help. When we arrived, there had been a mix-up with our reservation, and they juggled some things around to provide us with roomsThe following morning, we decided we wanted to stay an additional night, but the pub/ reception wasn't open yet, and we wanted to go out for the day. The lovely guy from housekeeping went to check which rooms were available and already cleaned so we could move our luggage straight in, and if none were available he offered to clean one that was checked out already. Fantastic service. And then just said not to stress I could sort the payment out when we returned later. The food at the pub was fantastic , big portions so if you had some tweens, you could probably share between yourself or two kids. We shared a mixed grill between myself and my husband and it was plenty.

Friendly staff, handy having pub next door where the meals were delicious although HUGE.

No hook on bathroom door would've been handy. No hairdryer! No tissues supplied not a must but nice

Our room was separated from another by a thin door and there was no privacy. Also all rooms were smoking rooms which affected my health.

Came to Maryborough to bury my brother in law. Staff were exceptionally friendly. All good except bed was hard as a rock. Thankyou

They double booked our room, and they refunded 1 nights stay and gave us an older room, which was not pleasant at all We found another motel for our second night

Very friendly staff. Rooms comfortable for a motel. Very good, quite air conditioning unit. Good tea and coffee facilities, with fridge, toaster, cups / plates / bowls utensils. Bathroom good size and clean linen. Easy to get into with a large car, plenty of parking. The detached Lamington Motel had an excellent pub/restaurant with good priced excellent quality food. Loved that I just walked over from my room. The noise from the pub was negligible. Probably because we were the furthest away, in the detached motel accommodation - which is all brick.

All in all a good stay. Some of the room is getting a bit tired (laminate bench top all marked up, bed ensembles base showing a few rips) so didn't get full marks for facilities but negligible, wouldn't stop me staying here again. Tv wall mounted and very small, also the mounting mechanism means not everyone could see the tv well from their beds (our kids has their own screen so not an issue - we just turned it our way)

The layer check in time frame

The bed was behond uncomfortable, would have been better sleeping on the floor. The person next door had their TV on all night and was so clearly hear in our room. No plug for shower and shower taps were so hard to turn on. The music from the pub, was clearly hears through the whole room. No sleep at all. Was a huge waist of money. The bloke whom checked us in, was pleasant but acted as if he'd been drinking

Staff were friendly, room was sound proof, detached from the pub and under cover parking right at the door. The room had tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. I was amazed at how little noise there was considering it was at a pub and on a main road.

No wifi, TV outdated and like all pub rooms they can do with a good clean I noticed some marks on the linen. Otherwise it was a good stay..

The food at the pub was great

Washing up the dishes in the bathroom was not suitable. There was mould on the roof in the pub toilets. Beds where not comfortable. There where holes in the wall there where cracks under the bench . Cracks in the wall on the outside of the room the menu in the book was all blurry and stains in the carpet. The fridge was starting to rust on the bottom of the fridge door. We would like a refund not very happy at all we didn’t enjoy our stay

When I checked in I was astonished the receptionist took a copy of my debit card including expiry date and CVC. I told her I wasn’t happy that a full copy of my card was being kept. Her response was that they keep a copy in case I STOLE something from the room and that the details would be destroyed after the cleaners checked the room upon my departure. I am not accusing the receptionist of anything nefarious it just seems like overkill given the very basic contents of the room.

The local restaurant & bar were fantastic. Food from restaurant was delicious & the had an awesome family vibe.

Mattress on bed was rock hard.

Very noisy atmosphere outside and in adjoining room. Suspicious activity in room next door with loud noises until 1 am. People coming and going all night (Monday night). No deadbolts on door for extra security. Check in required you to hand write down credit card on slip of paper. Relying on them to securely destroy your details on departure. Will not be staying again, nearly left in the middle of night due to disturbances.
