Pros +
- well situated and room was very clean.
- Matthew at Coach House was very welcoming and helpful. Central to various places in Launceston. Room, although looking dated from the outside was nice inside. Very comfortable bed, room clean and good amenities. Thankyou
- Quiet location away from traffic noise with a nice view. The spacious room also had a microwave, crockey and cutlery.
Cons -
- Chairs faced in wrong direction. Had to sit in bed to watch TV. Person at reception was a bit abrupt.
- The fact that we couldn’t check in after 8pm without having an Australian phone number, which we don’t. So I had to approach a stranger in the parking lot and ask to borrow their phone to check in as we arrived at 9pm. If said stranger hadn’t allowed me to use their phone we would have had to sleep in the car the first night. We’ve been to other hotels where there was a way to check in late without having to make a phone call and depending on the number of foreign tourists that stay at this hotel perhaps management could figure out a way that doesn’t require said foreign tourist to have an Australian phone number. The room was adequate and comfortable but starting to have handyman projects that needed to be done, e.g. the bathroom shelf was pulling away from the wall and sloped down enough to slide toiletries off the shelf into the toilet.
- Strange little place. Bare minimum amenities. No warning about the very steep descent going into the venue itself. Getting our van down that hill and parking diagonally was a nightmare not to mention very dangerous. Matt was not willing to help us out with changing our dates despite plenty of notice which was very unfortunate. Only gave us one night's stay worth of products (shampoo/toilet paper etc.) despite staying for 4 nights.

Spacious clean room, close to the CBD. Comfortable bed. Good WiFi, TV & streaming. Ample free off road parking. Helpful staff. Very reasonably priced.
Location. Not too close to the business and tourist area but not too far to walk.

Although the hotel is old it was as clean as could be . Location to the city great
Nothing negative
Good location. Clean room. Value for money.
Would of liked a toaster.
Large comfortable clean room, short drive to everything.Largest room we stayed in at Tassie. Laundry available to use.
Large room, great beds, close to restaurants and shops.View from window was expansive.
Room was large, bed was comfortable and the new air conditioner worked extremely well. Matthew was friendly and helpful. Fridge and coffee making facilities were appreciated, as was the separate toilet.
Car park was challenging due to extreme slopes, impacted getting in and out of the car. We soon learnt the best spots to park. Room had been renovated nicely, however bathroom was dated.
Location, friendly staff
The steep incline
Staff: Hotel manager was most helpful in meeting request for minor print and scan job.General: In room facilities were largely as expected for this standard and cost of motel.
Cleanliness was generally good but the overall impression was let down by a large, unsightly carpet stain. While my disabled wife was not travelling with me on this occasion, the motel is situated on a steep site which is likely to make traversing it with a stick/walker, or in a wheelchair difficult.
Perfect location for Festivale
Clean, friendly, and helpful staff. Thanks Mathew
Great location. Good bed. Hot shower, great water pressure. Quality towels and linen.
A little road noise from the one way alley - was in ground floor - but not enough to be a worry.
Convenient location. Room is big.
No lift. Need to climb stairs.
Very clean, comfy and quiet. Very helpful reception.
Purely a personal choice but I prefer a less firm bed.OK now I feel like a whinger. Sorry
Property was ideal for Festivale. Matthew at the front desk was fantastic. So friendly, welcoming and helpful.
A little dated
It was clean and comfortable.
The steep driveway, but I guess that can apply to anywhere in Launceston haha…
Convenient location for our trip
Outdated, and too expensive
