Honey Badger Lodge Moshi

Liked:The hotel manager, Digna Mwacha, provided exceptional service. She was incredibly responsive even before we arrived—coordinating our transport and making sure everything ran smoothly when our flight was delayed. She ensured our group had clean, comfortable rooms with a private soaking pool, which was a wonderful touch.One of the most meaningful parts of our stay was a school visit that Digna helped us arrange. We brought donations and got to see an incredible program supporting local moms and kids. It was truly impactful.We also had a traditional dance performance that we had planned in advance—it was fantastic! The energy was so fun, and we even joined in. Such a joyful way to spend the evening. And the pizza from the restaurant? So good!

The beds were quite firm. A bit more comfort would make this place even better.

Excellent stay and very friendly and kind staff. Really cool to see the tortoise and monkeys first thing in the morning! The food was absolutely amazing as well

The location of the lodge, the well kept garden and flowers, the friendly staff, comfortable rooms, relaxing restaurant and bar. I certainly did not want to leave!

The tranquil location, the friendly staff, the homely rooms, such a lovely place to stay for a quiet relaxing break. Having stayed last year, I was welcomed back like a member of the family. I felt very comfortable, safe and looked after by the staff.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice swimming pool area and excellent pizza!

The location is quite far from Moshi Town and shops etc.. Also it can be quite noisy despite it being further away from the main road. Wifi could be better too.

Fantastic place to relax and chill out. Very attentive and friendly staff. Excellent food options and great base to tour Moshi and climb Kilimanjaro.

Peaceful oasis in the middle of Moshi, with great food and view on Mount Kilimanjaro. Spacious African rooms and nice swimming pool. Honey badger lodge actually is part of a local cooperation with a school to teach young children and prepare them for further education. By staying here you also support a social purpose.

Joe and his staff were amazing. They were perfect hosts , accomodating all our needs and any enquires with such grace and warmth. The communal areas were wonderful and we were made to feel so welcome.

The hut we stayed in was very comfortable and airy. Lovely pool and bar area. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and dinner available with good menu. Free afternoon tea/coffee and snacks a nice touch too. Fun to see the animals on site as well - especially the monkeys and tortoises!

The location is a little out of town but that is a minor criticism, considering it's quality.

Very rustic African charm, great layout and well maintained grounds. Monkeys and African tortoises roaming around the grounds. Food and service were great. Excellent swimming pool area. Massages also available which are great after Kilimanjaro hikes. Great vibe to the Honey Badger.

Thank you for the kind hospitality. I spent my last day at this hotel after 3 weeks in the region. Perfect place for recovery and chill. I loved the monkeys playing in the garden and also saw a big turtle :)

An amazing place to relax after Kili and safari. The guy in charge of the hotel (apologies, didn't get his name) was attentive, polite, and resourceful. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were exceptional.

Unfortunately, the WiFi coverage does not reach the room in the garden far from the lobby/main area. No big deal, though.

Swimming pool ;) monkeys around the place ..

Restaurant wasn’t so good , very slow minimal staff I guess because of low season.Breakfast wasn’t good considering their is an abundance of fruit ;)

Peaceful and serene, the pool, the staff, the food, cleanliness, the shower, the bed.

(technical) things that are not oke are repaired quickly. My toilet had a small problem and they gave me another (bigger room immediately. There was a small problem with the cold water supply and the next day the water pipes were dug out and the problem was solved. Apart from that , the staff are really nice and attentive.

I was unfortunately (almost ) the only guest.

Really nice personel, always wanting to assist when we had questions. Just a happy comfortable place to stay.

The location turned out to be quite some km from Moshi town, so walking wasn’t an option. The personel however could arrange transport pretty quickly each time.

Liked it a lot! Very friendly staff and great place to relax after the Kilimanjaro hike!

Unfortunately we just had one fan for a big room with three beds. And the prices for the laundry were a bit high.

Food was great, staff helpful and happy. Location was stunning and relaxing, activities were enjoyed. Everything we needed for a relaxing break.

Staff could definitely sold more drink to us, they tended to give too much privacy at mealtimes and as such, we had to go to look for them to reorder drinks.
