Pros +
- The best part was the staff. They were welcoming and helpful. Always at your service. Vishnu took great care to make sure we were comfortable, even walking to the street to help us secure a drivers dusting a busy festival season. He also gave us good local tips. The rooms were clean and bright. Renovated, while keeping a simple character.
- We are two sisters from Qatar and had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. What impressed us most was the care for small details and the kindness of the staff – everyone was so friendly and helpful. They provided us with great information about the area and nearby markets, and even welcomed us with a complimentary room upgrade.Breakfast was freshly cooked by a professional chef, and I especially loved the beetroot pickle. The chef and manager were so generous to even share the recipe with me! The hotel itself was spotless, beautifully traditional, and full of historical charm. On our last day, they kindly arranged a taxi to the airport, which made our departure smooth and stress-free.On our last day, the room keeper surprised us with a towel shaped Elephant. We also noticed how humble and supportive the people of Kerala are – always ready to help. The hotel feels like a villa, with a lovely garden where children can play while adults enjoy tea in nature. It’s perfect for couples, family trips, or a getaway with friends. This has been my best hotel experience in Kochi, and I will definitely return. Highly recommended! ?✨
- The manor was very clean and the staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was excellent and of high qualtiy ingredients.
Cons -
- Breakfast was limited.
- The laundry service is not available around the clock, so guests need to plan at least a day in advance. The hotel’s indoor spaces could benefit from better ventilation, as the wooden furniture has a slightly strong odor. It would also be more comfortable if slippers were provided along with the toiletries. Additionally, I would recommend placing an iron and ironing board in each room for guests’ convenience.
- I only had one issue of the gate being locked and I had to wait around 5 minutes to get the attention of the attendant to be let in.

Very comfortable bed, nice room. Shower was excellent but most importantly the staff were so nice to us, you really felt they genuinely wanted to make sure you had all that you needed for a comfortable stay. I felt they went above and beyond to help us .
It was perfect for us, there was nothing we did not like.
The location is very beautiful and the staff is extremely kind and prepared. There is AC and hot water and the typical Indian breakfast is included, very good!
We liked everything - for breakfast they provide Indian breakfast + eggs + coffee/tea, so do not expect continental breakfast, but the food is amazing and very well cooked
A nice boutique hotel at a quaint location. Got an upgrade, so we are thankful to the manager. I wish there were more options in the food, however, we ordered daal, chapaati and rice and they were tasty. People visiting nearby attractions in Fort Kochi can consider this property.
I liked that the staff were very friendly and helpful. I only stayed a few hours but every request I made was met. A car was booked at 2:30 am to the airport and it was on time plus the night manager called me as requested too. I had paid for breakfast but was unable to enjoy it, so was given a packed option to eat on the plane. The shower was great - I had two, before and after my day's outing and I was really glad I'd booked a room to change and re-organise my packing instead of trying to save money and just go to the airport direct from a day of sightseeing
I think the neighbourhood was a little smelly, which wasn't pleasant at about midnight as I could smell it in my room. The views aren't good either - curtains were kept closed at all times.
The location was ideal to all the touristic spots in and around Mattancherry.
We were allowed to checkin early, but we had to pay half a day rent for that (eventhough the room was already available).
The staff was amazing, everyone was really helpful, very quick and smart to resolve any questions we had. The property was clean, comfortable and spacious! We had huge bathroom for a family room. Location of property is few minutes walking distance from Mattancherry and Jew town. Also, proximity to the Fort Kochi beach, Princess street, Napier street, Kathakali centre - all are 8-10 mins by auto/cab and 25-30 mins walking Breakfast at property had local Kerala cuisine with an option of north Indian breakfast- all extremely delicious! Mr. Praveen helped us arrange a trip to Alleppey, which was the most enjoyable part of our trip!
It was perfect!
Clean. Good staff.
Overpriced for the facility and location.
The staff were very attentive and helpful. They arranged travel, booked tickets for a show and arranged a cooking demonstration in their kitchen for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Dinner was excellent quality although they wanted an hour’s notice of our order as they buy everything fresh to order. Breakfast was a more limited selection compared to bigger hotels but again excellent quality.
Very neat, clean and quiet property, efficiently run.
I was a little disappointed with the location of the property.
Excellent location. Good air conditioning and facilities.
Water pressure was rather low, can be temporary.
spacious rooms & friendly staff
there was no lift
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good location
Poor WiFi, weak/not working at times, a few mosquitos in the room. Difficult to regulate AC, in order to have the temperature cool, needed to put on ceiling fans which were very noisy at night. Shower pressure was very good but the drain had not been cleaned (according to housekeeping who had to sort it out) so water flooded out into bathroom and bedroom area, staff cleaned it up quickly. Rooms did not look like they were well maintained, stains in the floor rug, marks on the wall etc despite us hearing that the property had been renovated very recently. Breakfast was ok but we were told that we could come down for it up to 10.30 am. We arrived just before that and my husband was told that the staff had rang our room (the phone didn’t work as that was the second time we’d been told of a call and we’d received none!) earlier as they wanted us down around 9.30-10. Not very welcoming and we then were served food without asking in advance if there was anything we didn’t eat/were allergic too and then the waiter went to a different room so we couldn’t ask for coffee or anything until he would resurface a while later. No bar or alcohol served. That’s not unusual in Kochi but there’s also no area to hang out and relax unless you want to go out on a small balcony area where mosquitos are prevalent. If prices were less, we might have been happier but they were 25% more than a lovely heritage property that we’d stayed in the previous weekend (Ginger Museum Hotel) so we expected a similar standard but the building wasn’t as nice and food and service were at a different level. On a positive note, the night staff were very helpful and friendly and made us a breakfast to take away as we had an early flight on our last day so we appreciated that. The hotel could be nice but the prices are too high at the moment for what is quite a basic room, not 4 or 5 star prices/standards.
1. the staff is really kind, humble and accommodating. they provided my father (who reached really early) with a early check in. they were always willing to cater to our requests to the best of their abilities. 2. the rooms are spacious and the property is neatly maintained.
1. Not so much a reflection on the property but the location is not the most ideal. It is close to the Jew Town area but away from Fort Kochi area (and there is a lot more to do there). the roads are not exactly walkable (esp with a baby stroller). 2. The food for meals (other than breakfast) could be improved.
We had a wonderful stay, loved everything - it was comfortable, clean, a great location and with amazing staff.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
Excellent staff and neat, clean property
Location is a bit inside, but it's walking distance from local markets as well as Dutch town, so it's still nice.
Without blinking an eye, it is the staff that makes the stay expectational. They have been caring and up to looking at your comfort. The hotel is well kept and clean. The rooms have good vibes. The selection of upholstery and furniture makes the room warm and cozy. Breakfast served was hot and delicious. The location of the hotel is very good.
Not that I can point out any
Lovely breakfast and great rooms with two toilets
Tariff is too high
