Cedar Lodge Motel

We didn’t end up staying. The room smelt so bad and was disgustingly hot.

Room 26- very dingy, smelt disgusting, unsure if it was mould or something else. Mattress was horrible. We literally tried to make it work but only lasted approx 15 mins. The smell was so bad and aircon not really working.

Excellent Customer Service, the Managers were very helpful and accommodating. TheLocation fitted our requirements.

Update on the pillows would be good.

The location was picked as it was closest to the JCU Vet hospital, it was also very close to all the shopping centres. Lawrence the Manager was very friendly and helpful, I asked for extra pillows and he happily obliged, he is updating the rooms, has put in a circular table and chairs and replacing mattresses etc. putting in laminate flooring instead of carpet which will be nicer. The room was very clean and smelled fresh.

It looked like the same soap was used for both hand soap and shower gel, not a big deal but would be nice to get a more fancy shower gel.

It was exceptionally clean, the new Management were amazing as were all staff, and the location was great.

Nothing. It was great for what I needed.

As older travellers the staff were very helpful friendly and concerned for our comfort and well being

very good location and easy to access from either road direction, shopping centre and plaza right next door and esy walking distance. room was nice and comfortable and reception staff very friendly and helpful

being right on the road, there was some mild road noise but not bad enough to interrupt sleep

Very handy to the location I required.

Road and traffic noise as I was in a front room upstairs.

Close & Convenient to where we had to be, Comfortable stay.

Nothing to complain about. One big cockroach in the bathroom but we dispatched him pretty quickly.

The location was close to everything needed.

Unfortunately with this place being on the main road it’s very noisy. A lot of sirens passing by. The bed was very hard poor quality. The shower head didn’t have water pressure and took far too long to heat up and also couldn’t maintain temperature kept going from freezing to boiling hot. Also police arrested people on the footpath outside our hotel window and we got woken up at 3am by police dog barking none stop and siren lights in our room not the hotels fault but wasn’t ideal for our stay with a long drive ahead of us having to deal with that nonsense. Location is great if you’re a heavy sleeper and also if you’re wanting to be close to shops and don’t have transportation. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll stay here again.

Clean and close to shops

Outside lighting makes room bright even with shades pulled down.

Position was great, shame management...

The refusal to talk about a cancellation even after management said it would be worked out

We liked the beds were soo comfty

The traffic got a bit noisy buy other then that.. great stay.was close to everything we needed.

No breakfast ordered, location next to shopping centre perfect for coach pikup.

the location was handy to my appointments.Clean and quiet with an excellent shower

It was great value for money. Clean and tidy with great staff.

Nothing it was great.

Clean and a good location and great service staff

I had a cockroach above my head on the ceiling in the middle of the night and had to get up and catch and kill it, left early so did not get a chance to tell staff.

Staff and owners were lovely, very helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained, perfect position for a home base while in Townsville. Great value for money.

Staff were great

Can't leave air conditioners running when not there. It takes FOREVER for the room to cool down of an afternoon - we're in far north Qld... people need air con
