    Pros +

    • the location was good not too much noise. Plenty of dining to choose from nearby within walking distance.
    • Had a room on the second floor by the pool.
    • Lovely, modern, refreshing, and an immaculate apartment to walk into, could not fault it at all!! It had an awesome, big Balcony. Was lovely to have housekeeping services every day if required! (seems to be rare with accommodation properties these days) The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were lent an umbrella from reception when going out to dine when it was raining. (not that it rained long!) Our bed/pillows were super comfortable, Wifi worked with no problems, parking was easy within the building. The property is located right in the pubs/dining hub and walking distance to the city centre. The pool was awesome..but didn't have a lot of shaded spots in pool area.

    Cons -

    • Got out of elevator on our floor and all you can smell is spew in the carpet huge stain. First day after staying here we went out in the morning and came back to our room in the evening wide open with door wedged back cleaners had left my room open with all my valuables exposed for anyone to go in and take. I did not feel safe after this each day I was worried it would happen again. I didn't feel confident in speaking with reception after a simple request for some black tea and was given a handful of Chamomile Tea. Carparks changed while we were there so limited to where we could park.
    • Cupboards and door that separates the bedroom from the lounge were broken.
    • The bathroom was dated and carpets were stained and had a cut. I felt it was overpriced for this room, we paid extra for the river view which we could see but we were also right next to the 4 lane bridge.

Ease of getting in and out . Staff are great also.

No room service and delivery drivers have to be met in the lobby.

Location was walking distance to the football.

After booking and paying for a family of 5, after arrival they charge another $50 per night for the fifth person for a trundle bed.

Great locationRooms are spaciousNice infinity pool

No noise insulation. I could hear my neighbours from the other side of the corridor talking late at night and early in the morning (and they were inside their rooms). I could also hear the next room’s TV as if it was in my room. Mainly because there was only a thin wooden door between the two rooms. Felt like a hostel experience. Was expecting something different from this level of hotel.

I paid for an upgrade with a spa in my room. There was no spa

    Location

Was first put in a room that was extremely outdated and had a terrible curry smell with old carpet. Didn’t get services daily, had to ask for toilet paper. Noise from workers ripping up tiles near pool area. Went for 3 days and started at 8am.

PERFECT location. Room had a large bed which fitted us and our 2 young children. Room layout was great. Had a kitchen, couch, dining table and washing facilities. Had a great outdoor area for kids!

Floor felt dirty and made feet dirty within minutes of walking on it. Outdoor area needed a blow out/tidy up. Gardens needed more plants.

location was good .. room was river facing so even better. Beds were super comfy with 2 TVs one in bedroom and one in living room. It has washing machine, dryer, microwave, dishwasher .. e

parking was bit hard in the underground carpark. TOwels and linen provided were not of great standard.

Nice location with easy access to restaurants and the centre The property was clean and comfortable

The dryer didn’t work The stereo didn’t work The Wifi was very patchy

Location and facilities were great. Loved the pool.

The biggest thing, we paid for a king bed for 2 adults and 2 single beds. What we got was 2 king singles in the master bedroom separated and 1 double in the 2nd bedroom. Being 6ft and 105kgs the double bed was extremely uncomfortable for 2 adults to sleep in. The room wasn't the cleanest. In fact, the floors were do right filthy and slippery. We used a face washer to see if the slipperiness would come off and was disgusted to see the color of the clothe after wiping down 8 tiles. The kitchen was greasy, especially the stove top and the fry pan still had oil residue in it. The microwave and fridge were not clean. No conditioner in the bathroom

Nice Hôtel in a great area in Townsville very close to shopping and places to eat, easy walk into the city via the Bridge we would recommend . Taxi to Casino was about $10-$15.

Car Parking was on a first in gets the -park basis, so they tell you when you look on the website, car park available, but on further investigation when i sent a message they said not guaranteed for each unit...if no car park available because its busy, you have to park on the street, so this was the down side for us especially with the crime in Townsville.

    9JazminPosted on: 4-22-2025

It was modern and nice and clean. You always know you’re going to have a nice stay when you book at oaks

The conditioner bottles were empty when we checked in. But we only stayed for 2 nights and had our own, so we didn’t worry about contacting reception about it.

    8PhilipPosted on: 4-21-2025

There was mould in the shower, and the carpets smelt when you turned off the air-conditioning.Floor was filthy as when I stepped into the shower, my feet were black. .

In saying that, the bed was excellent best nights sleep.Took video but don't have an opinion to add it, only photos.

The suite we stayed in was awesome ….beautiful view.

Although the day staff were very friendly… we had asked for help with Wifi and the man at night didn’t know what to do and basically ignored my husband. We also asked for a breakfast pack, although this is normally done on booking we didn’t know … so the lady told us that’s ok I’ll get it to you tomorrow morning … awesome. On returning to the room following day no parcel …. Man said manager was meant to do it but because of Easter nowhere open for delivery. On checkout the lady said no delivery and she wasn’t in anyway, she was very friendly about it and I just suggested maybe a phone all to let us know and we could’ve got something ourselves, she said maybe next time and that she had asked someone to call us and they didn’t. Communication is the answer. The bathroom needed cleaning more it was quite grubby and no instructions on the coffee machines. Beautiful area well worth a visit ?

    Great location.

Sofa bed was broken which we needed for one of our children - had to take mattress out of sofa bed and sleep on floor.
