Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza

The breakfast was amazing and the cleanliness of the facilities was impeccable. The staff’s great attitude truly makes you feel like a VIP.

Great Location for wine tasting at various wineries. Old historic hotel in on the main square walking distance to great museum. Breakfast was good and great variety.

No understanding of customer service. They have beautiful outdoor area by pool with tables, but do not serve lunch, dinner or drinks there. We had to go inside to the bar and get our drinks and the only food they would serve outside was a cheese plate. The staff was standing inside an empty restaurant instead of serving all the people outside. They advertised a wine tasting but when we asked about it, they said it was not happening. The bartender Ignacio and the valet Luis were terrific and did understand customer service. There was also a sewer smell in our room.

This hotel is such an excellent place from which to explore Santa Cruz and the surrounding wineries. The rooms are fantastic, the services and amenities at the hotel are unmatched, the dining and free breakfast on site are incredible. Highly recommend!

Great location, beautiful gardens and relaxed setting. The adjacent museum was extraordinary.

Some of the facilities need updating. We had a small leak in the bathroom which was quickly fixed. On our last evening, we noticed water pouring from the ceiling in our room. It took the staff a while to react and we had to change the room. In the next morning, property manager was very apologetic and provided a resolution.

Rooms, one of the rooms had a wall in front of of the window only 2 meters apart. And the other was looking at the dinnig area roof. Rooms are old, clean but old

Mealtimes are busy so service is a little slow

The hotel is beautiful, in the heart of Santa Cruz. Our room was very nice, loved the little chocolates. The breakfast was very good with options for every palate.

We visited the spa, it’s a shame the facilities are in the toilets which are separate for men and women. Also the women’s steam room didn’t work, I reported this twice. The outdoor pool was also closed, this was a shame as the weather was lovely. The bathroom in our room was tiny, no room to use the facilities comfortably.

It’s a pity that the main square was being upgraded because it was very dusty. The waiters were very slow to bring us our orders and the bar ran out of the gin we were drinking, also the low sugar tonic is not very nice.

That is was clean, attractive , central and had had a restaurant .

Good breakfast

Too crowded and not as good as before. My kids could not use the heated pool, which was allowed before.

Even though I requested an early check in before 3 PM, One room was ready at 3:30 and the other more than 4 PMWe requested shower caps but not received so instead next say and this time arrivedCleaning bath fail in room 307 and reposition of shampoo in room 311Keys to the room fail during our return to hotel so we needed to go to reception to fix this problem

Cool historic hotel in the heart of the pueblo. Lots of vintage style throughout with old school, elegant service from the staff. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Hotel is in a kind of complex, with many on-site amenities. Breakfast is a huge buffet with all the best Colchagua has to offer. Restaurant is quite good. Pool, spa, etc.

We had a nice dinner and also the breakfast buffet was very good. The room was comfortable and big.

There were some noises during the night which woke me up.

Well located right on the plaza, hotel itself is great with a lovely garden with exotic plants and a pool as if you were in a resort. Rooms however could use some renovation, as well as the beds. Great buffet breakfast! They have a tourist office on site but be aware they only promote tours to the winery owned by the same owner as the hotel.

Rooms need to be renovated.

Breakfast was wonderful! Loved the space we had in the suite.

Sad that plaza was under construction since our view wasn’t great but once the plaza is finished it will be great.

Not you fault, but road approach for cars and parking is a bit difficult for someone new to Santa Cruz.

Almost everything

From my room (208) I could heard everything from my neighbor room, and it was unpleasant during the night.

Warm pool and the museum

A lot. 5 out of the six rooms I had were poorly maintained ( we were 12 guests). None of the AC worked. None of the refrigerators cooled. A room had a spider nest in the bathroom. 5 room required room change. One of the room doors did not have a proper working look so it remained open.The food at the hotel restaurant was really bad. Food poorly prepared. Kitchen forgot twice about one of the guests meals ( 2 different occasions). Food was uneatable for this delayed food. Milk at breakfast was spoiled). Lady at check in was rude. We truly felt like we were being punished. I asked to speak with the manager and was unavailable. I asked for his/her email and I was told not available. They gave me the reception email. I want my money back.
