Hotell Fritidsparken

The hotel was located right outside town so it was easy to get to town and not be in the middle of the city. I loved the fact it was close to beautiful trails so you could go for a walk. It was close to all the facilities from the pools, skate rink and rope climbing areas. Great property! Also I really enjoyed the fact that we received both breakfast and dinner, very good food.

Brand new room with lots of space. Excellent beds plus a comfy sofa.Food in the restaurant was simple but very well prepared. While the menu choice is limited the staff was very accomodating to our dietary needs even preparing personal alternatives in case of allergies.

While it was very laudable that our room was fully suitable for disabled persons it proved inconvenient that the showerhead could not be used hands-free. It was as if you were supposed to be showered by an assistant. Also it took minutes!!! for warm water to reach our room located at the very end of the corridor. This wastes a lot of water which seems out of place for this very eco-aware hotel.

Excellent value for money! A very cozy sports hotel surrounded by pine trees and fresh air, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The rooms are new and equipped with everything you need. Great breakfasts and dinners.

Wrong description of the rooms in Booking.com (responsibility of the hotel) and no flexibility of the personal to adapt the offer to the need. In the end we could stay in a family room for 4 persons as suggested by the staff of the hotel, but we had to pay for 2 family rooms (as proposed on Booking.com based on wrong info communicated by the hotel). No reaction of the hotel management despite several emails in order to correct this, the staff on site was not able to take any decision. Very disappointing.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is plenty of space in and around the hotel. Dinner is included although with limited options.

Great for families, comfy beds, vegan milk options at breakfast (which is rare in Norway). Beautiful forest!

The food in general is not very vegan friendly, but both dinner and breakfast was included so it was ok.The coffee at breakfast was Nescafé, also in the machines, which is not ok.

Lunch and dinner were very repetitive. Chilli and beef burgers twice each in 3 days. Lasagne on the other day.

Nice breakfast with everything you need/want, active staff looking after guests and food. Helpful reception sorted out free parking.

Just have the WiFi password in the room instead of having to remember to ask staff in reception.

Good value having dinner and breakfast included. Being outside of town meant access was easy. The facility was clean and comfortable. We were there with just a few other guests, so it was nice and quiet.

There are few electric plugs in the room.

The location was quiet (no loud bars). Our room was near a lounge area, but luckily no loud people hung out there in the evening. There is a 24-hour desk with drinks and ice cream for sale. Parking is across the street, but there is room to unload or load luggage near the doors. The bed was okay. The pillow was too thick for me, but my husband found it perfectly fine. (I had my own thinner one.) The shower had good pressure and steady temperature. We were given a handicap room even though we didn't need that. I was afraid the water from the shower would get all over the bathroom floor, but it didn't. The advantage of being in a handicap room was that we had lots of space, so I didn't complain. Breakfast was okay (not much choice but satisfactory). The free dinner was better than I expected (really good fish and soup, plus potatoes, salad, and chocolate mousse). We didn't eat dinner there our second night only because we were off visiting someone. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from a grocery store. The staff were very nice.

The room was too warm for me for sleeping well. I have found this to be a problem in Norway on very warm, sunny summer days. I have learned to take the duvet cover off the duvet, then just use the cover for sleeping.

They gave us a new room that was really nice. the food was very good and for the pice it was a real bargain. a lot of sport facilities nearby and everything is made so that it is easily accessible by handicapped people. good value for money.

it was winter and to get to our room from the reception/dining hall we had to cross open space with our 1 year old. a minor inconvenience. the pool is not included pa not really pricey.

Breakfast was good. Not so much choise, but taste good.

It was dinner inklusiv in room price. Dinner time is to 20:00 o clock, we came to hotel 18:45. We was asked about, are we hungry? ( We was with 2 small childrens 2 and 6 year old). When i said that we are hungry and we will gonna eat dinner, he said that we have 10 minutes to do that, because all restaurant is booked after and dinner wil be closed 19:00. We couldint get a table in the restaurant anymore, just advice to sit and eat outside, where it was cold and windy. After i said, that we will not eat outside with childrens, i asked is it possible to take some food to our room, and he agreed. Aboutt food, there was some lasagnia leftowers and cold pasta. So we ate in the room, on the bed, because there was no normal table. And this evening was quit ruind. Our room was by the sitting area, so in the evening there was many young people, who made many noise.

Brilliant deal with 2 nights, having access to the facilities. Lovely pool, friendly staff.

Great staff, and a good dinner along with great breakfast service as we had to leave the hotel very early or before 07:00
