It was lovely, and clean. Building looks amazing
Hot water wasn’t very warm, tv was too small for the room.
2nd time I have stayed... Clean and friendly
Unmanned front desk
Beautiful garden Nice bar inside The rooms were large enough
No air conditioning Restaurant tables dirty from meals of those that ate before you Glass doors to the bathroom so you can watch your partner use the toilet
Nice sized rooms.
Tv in the bedroom didn’t work Light next to bed didn’t work Mould in bathroomVery dustyNo offer of a vegetarian breakfast
The bed was comfortable but the duvet was rather thin.
The lighting in reception and then in the corridors leading to the rooms is very sterile and gives the impression of a call centre or office, not a hotel. The ceiling tiles are horrible and give the impression of a thrown together office building rather than a hotel
Good location, very quiet. Friendly staff, great breakfast
Room was a bit jaded and bathroom needed attention. It was a large ground floor room with French doors but only a small radiator so not very warm
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a dog friendly room that had doors straight onto car park which was very convenient and very quiet.
Some areas looked a little tired.
Clean everything I needed was there I nerve saw a member of staff at all
No out side lights no help with luggage being disabled help with getting In was needed I never saw a member of staff the whole time I was there
Staff very courteous & professional, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent, very good value.
We stay here every year. Nice hotel, good breakfast.
The hotel bar was shut at 11pm, which for a Friday evening is not that good.
Clean Good foodFriendly waitress and chef
We had our wedding reception here 40 years ago So we’re so disappointed in the way the hotel had been extended which we felt had ripped the soul out of the original hotel We had not realised that the hotel is now owned by the trade unions and were surprised to see the black and white photos in the halls depicting the riots of the eighties!! Glorifying the miners strike we feltWe felt it should be clearer that this is a trade union owned hotel as we would not choose to support it So sad to see a lovely hotel changed in such away but I suppose things move on and we have to accept that
The breakfast was very good. It was in an ideal location for our visit to our family in a nearby village. The room and ensuite were spacious and clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
While the breakfast was very good, on the Saturday morning we waited about 45 minutes for the cooked part of it to arrive after placing our order. This seemed rather a long wait as we needed to be somewhere and the dining room wasn't overly busy.
Close to Quorn, though walking would have been dangerous down country lane at night.
Specifically chose this hotel as Booking.com said it had Electric Vehicle Chargers. When we arrived, chargers not working. Very few staff on duty, No-one knew how to get them working, but all agreed they were temperamental. Phone call to manager didn't help. Ended up driving around Loughborough on low charge looking for a public charging point, which was stressful and time consuming.
Bed was comfortable
No hot water in bath/showerNo working plug in bath or sinkSmell of sewageStaff were told of this but nothing was done
Service in the restaurant was good. The food was good.
We felt we were secondary to the conference attendees. Although we had booked and reconfirmed a dinner reservation we ended up eating in another establishment because there was no room in the restaurant and were told to eat inthe crowded bar. We were also told after the family meal if 12 that there was no coffee available because the conference had used it all.
Loved the hotel , great location . The room was lovely, apart from the bathroom. It was all glass, just 2 small strips of frosted glass along the bottom. Not very private sitting on the loo , when your parter is relaxing on the bed.i would visit again , but request room with private bathroom .
The bathroom.. not private , all glass bathroom , ... who's idea was that . !!!!
