- Loved that the pool and gym were open early in the morning until late in the evening. The breakfast was delicious and so many options for food!
Cons -
- Room looking a bit rough around edges (some paintwork needed touching up). Booked a table for dinner. Waited a long time to be served and some of the orders not complete, despite being pre booked.
- The mattress was a little to firm for our liking and the room was quite warm at night. Other than those minor points it was a fantastic stay.

The fact that it was right inside Loughborough University, it made our child’s move in day very easy. We stayed for 2 nights, day before move in, and checked out day after move in. It made the process so much easier since we got to see how the uni welcomed their freshers.
Close to university, modern, had a pool
Self check in. After a long drive not what you want
the hotel was in the perfect location for us, with free parking. The courtyard and restaurant were lovely in the nice weather, with big glass doors open to the outside area. Food was good.
No air conditioning in the bedroom which was just way too hot! (They provided a fan)The service in the restaurant and bar was polite but very slow and inattentive. I had to go up to the bar to ask for our bill despite the place being very quiet and we weren't offered any further drinks or dessert for example. Slightly frustrating when the setting was so nice.
The room was comfortable
We had an executive room booked for two people but we only had one set of towels provided in the room. When we went for our prebooked dinner at the restaurant (Fifty) we waited at the entrance for a good while before we were attended to. Plenty of staff members were around but no one acknowledged us. Once we were finally seated, and decided what we wanted to eat, we were told that we were only allowed to order off one menu. We were actually given two menus when seated by the staff member, one evening menu and the other was the graduation menu. At no point during our booking or the subsequent emails promoting the graduation dinner/meal did it say that we were only allowed to order off one menu. We were a table of 6 and wanted to order food that was quite clearly available. We were told in no uncertain terms that we couldn't mix orders from the two menus, all 6 had to order form the same menu, which is wholly unsatisfactory!
Food was good.
No air-conditioning, no wardrobes, spa was under renovation and very small.
Breakfast - great choices, well made; spa and gym - good sized pool, good training equipment. Bar - very stylish, great staff, very relaxing atmosphere and late opening time.
There was a noisy fan in the room but I wanted A/C. People walking past my window could see into my bedroom. Sauna needs heated stones and steam! Cleaners need to know that check-out is at noon on weekends.
Clean, comfortable, fancy, friendly staff, room and bathroom space, furneture
Doors slam sound is too loud and annoying.A bottel of water in the room would be nice, with an apple maiby!
Location excellent, plenty of parking and polite staff, good value
Nothing especially
The facilities such as the swimming and gym were nice.
It an expensive price to pay for a hotel where you could not change the temperature for your own room. The room was small and the remote to the tv was missing. The tv was also not a smart tv.
The restaurant was excellent with very good vegetarian options.
Not keen on the self check in
I’ve said this the last time. If it wasn’t where MNU hold their residentials I wouldn’t have come back. The conference centre part and food are outstanding. The staff are really good too.
The rooms. I was in a different end of the corridor this time and fortunately didn’t have to listen to others shower or flush toilets but my course mates wgo were where I was last time did. The beds are like rocks. We were all very conscious that they were single beds put together so none of us slept straight down the middle. As soon as I got in I opened the windows to let heat out and I never closed them. I also didn’t feel I could close the curtains in case heat stayed in. Friends commented on how hot it was at night. The showers are so narrow. Powerful but narrow. I just feel the hotel section was an afterthought. I can’t understand why anyone not there for the uni would stay. My head hurt so much by the end of the second day.
Lovely clean and modern property. Staff were all amazingI highly recommend trying their cocktails in the bar, Darcy looked after us so well for the evening.
I liked everything
The large suite
I pulled back the net curtains to let in the wonderful sunshine & the Windows were extremely dirty Dust in the room No air con room very stuffy
Room was very nice & clean. Big enough for myself and daughter. We were given a cookie when we checked in which was a nice touch. Breakfast was really nice good variety inc vegetarian options. Bed was comfortable.
The initial check in is a bit confusing. There are laptops set up on a desk when you walk in but no sign to say that was the check in area. Staff came over promptly though and explained what to do. I don’t mind using a laptop to check in just need to put a sign up so it’s clear that’s the check in area. In the room we could hear a noise like a generator that kept going off intermittently for quite awhile. It stopped eventually.
I stayed at "The Link" Hotel near Loughborough with my wife for one night, keen to go for a swim the following morning I asked at reception where the nearest pool was in relation to the hotel, the front office staff informed me that I could use the facilities at "The Burleigh Court" hotel as this is a sister hotel to "The Link" hotel. As keen as mustard, I was up at the crack of dawn, walked from one hotel to the other located on the Loughborough University site, and enjoyed a 2-hour swim. The facilities I used, wet changing room, and pool facilities were perfect, clean, well-staffed and safe, (lifeguard) on duty within the adjoining booking in office, where there is a vision panel through to the pool area.Payment for swimming is in the pool facility itself not in the main reception area.Walk through and pay pool side.
Nothing, it was all to my 100% satisfaction.
Great location, comfy rooms and a nice restaurant. Staff were helpful.
nothing to complain about.
