Pros +
- All the staff were welcoming & efficient and the gym was great. Our room was comfortable and the mini bar well stocked. Breakfast was outstanding.
- Check in was fast, we didnt really get most of it but this is the norm for hotels, at least the new receptionist was professional. On entering the room, the receptionist was embarrassed to see very long cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The room, nice and bright with a mini bar and exactly the same bathroom as we have at home. However, the bed was too small for the room size. The Bed also creaked like a horror movie set, every bodily movement on the bed was creaky. Although the mattress was comfy, the frame was noisy.Too bright, yes, strange enough the room needed better curtains as at 5am we were awake with a bright room. Breakfast was good, however, the staff made it great, very friendly and welcoming. Suggestions Change the creaky bed, but i mean replace it, fit blackout blinds or thicker curtains in the rooms so guests can have a sleep in. Carry out a pre-room check for cleanliness and refresh if necessary. The guests also dont need to know how much money your spending on your new pool, 2million does sound excessive to me though. In summary, minor suggestions, however, quality of sleep is vital for guests and all beds, frames should be thoroughly checked beforehand. The village is about a 20 minute walk, however, since some parts your walking on the road that is just enough for one car, then not recommended to go walking in the evening especially when they cant see you.
- The breakfast is incredible, not only a full buffet but a cooked-to-order menu as well. Really stellar service, and the hosts should get an A+ for making us feel so cared for and welcome!
Cons -
- The sink didn't fully drain away and the shower could have been better. Also, the outdoor pool was freezing & the builders woke us up in the morning with their loud chatting just outside our room
- Creaky bed, bright room at 5am The Sky tv package PIN is in the hotel folder you need this to enter to watch movies. The reception staff in the morning, just ignored you, no morning or hello, even in plain frontal view chatting with each other.
- The actual place is better than the pictures, which is a nice surprise!

It was nicely presented and clean. Beautiful fresh flowers all around too!
Building work underway and so no indoor pool.
Comfort, friendly staff.
I was really disappointed to find out on arrival that the spa facilities were shut! Having paid a lot of money to have a spa weekend away, which I wouldn’t have booked if there was communication that the facilities were out of use!
The room was really nice and tidy, The restaurant was amazing and the service/ food was on another level. The short walk to the coast was handy and a nice long walk to rock is a must.
The indoor swimming pool was not available as a new one was being build, apart from that all was good.
Gorgeous hotel with excellent restaurant. Well positioned for beach and SW path
Creaky bed.
We liked everything ♥️ A birthday treat she won't forget thanks to everyone at St Moritz Hotel.Everything was as expected and more.
We were disappointed with "The Tide" facility. It's totally understandable that things need refurbishment and updating. However "The Tide" wasn't anywhere near the standards at The St Moritz Hotel. We did only use "The Tide" once.
Breakfast was excellent
Room was clean but sound proofing not great as we could hear the tv from the room above very clearly

Wonderful location, lovely staff. I loved that there were buckets and spades to borrow for children. I didn’t have breakfast but if it was like everything else I am sure it was good. Wish I could have stayed longer - but I’ll be back.
Comfortable, clean and well staffed.
It was difficult to approach from the Coast Path.
Wonderful suite and view and location
Indoor pool spa closed for refurbishment Poolside bar and cafe closed seasonal No where to hang out
Great location, beautiful scenery everywhere you looked. Could easily walk to the village and beaches.Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, one of the best hotel for breakfast I’ve stayed in!
We had pre booked the Wild Spa which was ran by the hotel and was told that this has been closed which was a real shame- we were told this is because of the storms which wasn’t the case! So we would have preferred the open and honest reason of why it had been cancelled. We would have liked the spa facilities to be open. When we arrived reception staff did not go into detail and what was included in our stay, this we felt could have been better. The walls in the rooms were very thin so could hear everything! We also did not have air con in the room, there was a fan but this did not work! This was the same as the tv!
Modern hotel and Location was good for usMinibus was great
We hadn't clocked the fact that the pool was closed for refurb, I'm sure we aren't the only onesThe pool at the alternative venue was full of children so not the spa experience we expected
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
The bed was uncomfortable. The last night the smell of sewage came from the bathroom, believe this was due to additional rainfall as the smell had cleared in the morning. Did not report to reception as I did not want to move to another room on our last night. The room was small. The water bottles provided had to be exchanged on multiple days as they would not open - staff advised a common issue.
Great value, brilliant food and very helpful nice staff!
Looking forward to their new pool opening!
