Pros +
- Clean, good stock of tea coffee and towels
- Convenient location, easy parking and clean and comfortable room. Pub in adjoining building served food until 9:30pm, which was a bonus as we arrived quite late. Good value breakfast was included in our booking price. Looked like a decent play area for kids and lots of outdoor seating too (sadly the weather wasn't amenable for outdoor activities when we visited!).
- Clean comfortable
Cons -
- The bed was so uncomfortable and the pillow were very poor, gave me a bad neck
- Coffee machine was broken at breakfast, so instant coffee or tea only.
- Easy access plenty of car parking Staff very polite and helpful

Clean comfortable
Easy access plenty of car parking Staff very polite and helpful
Rooms were clean and spacious for family room
Beds were hard
Clean tidy food very good
No separate eating to drinking area if u just wanted to drink
My first time here. I was going to Wolverhampton races and normally stay closer but that option was very expensive on a Friday night. The Spread Eagle is a large pub situated on a major junction on the A5. It a has large car park. The pub I imagine is quite old but the rooms are in a separate annex which is much newer. In fact it has many of the features of the large chain hotels but cheaper.I wasn't that well so avoided the bar and just had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast but what use I did make of the facilities gave me a very good impression.
Not really a complaint because most people would not be affected but a majority of the rooms are on the first floor and there is no lift. There are 18 stairs ( I have reason to note these details ). There are quite a lot of rooms on the ground floor which I imagine you could request.
Room was a great size, liked how secure it felt at entryways and plenty of parking
Car charging could’ve been a more competitive price, found it very expensive compared to other hotels we’ve been to
The room was warm and comfortable. Really quiet and great location for what we needed .
The guy who checked us in was extremely rude . Walked past me without saying a word . Told me to sign a piece of paper and walked off.
Good location.Spacious.Clean.Polite staff.Good meals.Overall a nice place to stay and eat.
Clean, spacious roomTea/coffee in roomCar park next to accommodation Friendly staff Lovely food
Limited TV channels (No Sky Channels)
Easy to find of the motorway and a simple, polite and quick check in.
This is a hidden gem, great location for motorway but close enough to town, lovely clean, comfy rooms, great brekkie, staff were very professional, friendly and attentive. We stayed over Christmas whilst visiting family and completely loved our stay. Will definitely be back- absolutely loved this place, great value for money.
Perfect, I couldn't find fault
The cleanliness of the room was lovely, check in was easy and simple and the facilities were great
There wasn't anything we didn't like
Close to transport links but quiet - we had a room facing the neighbouring garden centre .
Overall a good experience. My preference is for a shower screen over the bath rather than a curtain but it’s not a deal breaker . A complimentary biscuit with the tea / coffee would have been appreciated.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great, the room was clean and comfortable and good value for money., good spacious bath.
It's simplicity, no thrills and responsive staff (in regards to my online queries).
I didn't like the funky smell in the corridors and the ever so slight unlikely scent in my room (which was eradicated with an air sanitiser spray). The room doubles up as "Twin Room" with two single beds, which can be converted to a "Double Room" where two single beds are clamped together to make one large double bed. Unfortunately, the gap in the middle of the bed made it a bit uncomfortable for me.
Good location for stopping off motorway overnight. Staff friendly. Good value for money
It was good for the money paid
Clean, quiet, good parking and good restaurant
the room was clean
I have stayed before and the beds were comfortable, but on this occasion I was on the ground floor and the bed mattress was very hard, even the guests I was with said the same
Excellent rooms with good facilities. Excellent food for both dinner and breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff. I visit once a year, in November, and have the benefit of knowing in advance how good my stay will be.
There was nothing I disliked
