The Fairhaven Hotel

The proprietor was quite rude, complaining constantly about us and other guests. I'm not sure why he runs a B&B if he dislikes interaction that much. Rooms are quite old, and certainly not value for money.

Staff were accommodating, managed to give me an early check-in. Room and bed was comfy

Very clean and comfortable. The owner/manager was very nice and friendly and welcoming. The family room was very spacious and having a kitchen is a bonus. We enjoyed our stay.

I can’t think of anything.

Value for money, comfortable and close to nice river walk and friendly helpful staff

A comfortable bed in a clean room. Value for money

Local shops and attractions are a fair walk away, but this is explained in the on-line material before booking so I knew what I was getting

On arrival, I was offered upgrade to an en-suite room for the same price, as one had become available. This made my stay more enjoyable. I appreciated them thinking of my comfort. :-)

breakfast, room, friendliness

A small room, but the price was good.Private bathroom with shower.Basic, but everything was there.Staff was friendly and helpful.Safe off road parking. No breakfast booked, so unable to comment.

Clean comfortable room. Very convenient for Beeston station. Good coffee with breakfast and friendly host.

The room we had was maybe a little small if you were staying for more than a couple of nights.

The reception on arrival, the room and bathroom excellent. Breakfast, coffee and full English was perfect.Thank you.

All perfect keep it up.

Pleasant host. I got the hang of the shower on my second night.

I felt cold in bed at night

Great host - room small but functional and clean.

Limited parking

Warm roomsBreakfastFriendly host

Host were pleasant and friendly, breakfast was outstanding.

Rooms were very basic and requires some updating I had the shared bathroom which had a shower you could hold but no fixings on the wall to place it.

Friendly helpful owner, cleanliness

En-suite and tired furniture

Immaculately kept. Staff polite, helpful and welcoming. The full English breakfast was very good. Would stop off again here but would prefer an en suite room lower down without all the stairs.

I didn't realise the bathroom was, shared. It was, spotless but not ensuite which was a little disappointing. There was a sink in the room. I was given a room up at the very top of the building with lots, of stairs which got narrower the higher you go up. I had a bit of a struggle carrying my bags up. I could have asked for help but as I checked in whilst staff were available, I had to be somewhere so did not go to my room straight away. By the time I arrived back well after 10pm, I didn't want to call staff for help.

I've stayed at the Fairhaven numerous times over the last couple of years. Very straightforward check in, clean and the bedding smelt really fresh. It's currently in the minus degrees, and the building and my rooms were nice and toasty on arrival. Really handy free off road parking.Chinese take away within a short walk and plenty of other restaurants within a 1 mile radius. I most recently stayed in tye uppermost level of the accommodation and had great WiFi connectivity.

I have worked throughout the country for 20 years and stayed at endless hotels/Airbnb etc. I feel you should value the property in comparison to what you pay for each respectively , Fairhaven is good value all around and owing to the warmth and cleanliness, effort clearly goes in to a welcome environment.

Great staff. Breakfast was good. Price suitable.

Not luxurious, but welcoming host made all the difference.
