Old Bank Rooms

The breakfast was fine. But the room was so small it was impossible to eat it comfortably. We took it outside.

The room was hot, noisy and uncomfortably small. You could have been more transparent about that. Parking was also a hassle. We had to move our car twice.

The bedroom facing the street was ok. I had requested two rooms with two large beds. One room had two single beds. I did not like that it was difficult to communicate when there was no one on location. Breakfast was good.

The bathroom was very small and did not look at all like the photo on booking. For two people it was totally inadequate. The sink was super small. It was definitely not value for money. The Wi-Fi was terrible. On a scale from 1-10 Wi-Fi was a 1. Too many stairs.

Location is wonderful, right in the middle of the happening part of town. The rooms are beautiful, love the view out the main window. Bathroom was beautiful, nice large shower and great water pressure

Room with the good view , the bed is so big and so comfortable, Breakfast is the best of our trip. I recommended this accommodation.

The room was cozy, comfortable, and the location was fantastic! The breakfast was amazing every single morning!

I didn’t like there wasn’t a towel service or a place to get extra towels, washcloths. I don’t mind reusing everyday but our stay was for 4 nights and also our glassware had to be washed by us as well. Just difficult when you don’t have soap and dish towels.

Tired, small room and in need of decorating.

The property was small, but comfortable. Perfect location right on the main road.Close to restaurants, shops, etc. The breakfast arrived on time and was good.

The car park is a good walk away. Check in instructions were a little bit confusing.

Beautiful view of the stream below. Large Bathroom, good for storing luggage. The staff - interaction with the cleaner was very good and he was very helpful and friendly. Katie the manager was fast with her responses when there was an issue. See below.

The location - if you want to be in the main street and wont be bothered by the bus loads of tourists that start at 8am, then the location will work for you. IF not I would recommend staying a couple of streets away. We had an issue with the shower in our first room, could not get hot - lukewarm at best, would turn cold whilst in the shower. Manager was good and had us relocated to the room above - whilst not as bad the issue still continued. The bath water was fine had no issues with getting hot water. Also if you have issues with mobility, taking your luggage up the stairs may be a problem.

It was to small. Extremely poor decor with dirty walls and curtains. Nowhere to sit. Bedside tables were falling apart. Dirty bathroom. Would never pay any amount of money for a dirty scruffy room anywhere

While I had expected a relaxing and comfortable experience, I encountered a number of issues that were well below the standard I would expect from your establishment.Here are the specific concerns I encountered during my stay:-One set of keys in the locker, when it was stated there should be two. Also the door to the room was unlocked and open.-Damaged mirror: The mirror frame in my room was damaged, posing a safety hazard.-Hair in the bath: Upon using the bathtub, I discovered several strands of hair, indicating poor cleanliness.-Non-functional bath plug: The plug in the bath was not attached to the cord, making it inconvenient to use.-Stained and chipped tables: The furniture, particularly the tables, were in poor condition with visible stains and chips.-Marked walls, doors, and cupboards: The room showed signs of neglect with numerous marks on the walls, doors, and cupboards.-Dirty and uncomfortable chairs: The chairs in the room were stained, uncomfortable, and in need of cleaning or replacement.-Cracked window: There was a visible crack in the window, which not only detracted from the room’s appearance but also caused concern for safety.-Lack of condiments at breakfast: During breakfast, there were no condiments available, which affected the overall dining experience.I trust you take pride in maintaining a high standard for your hotel and guests' experience, and I am quite surprised and disappointed by the condition of the room and service. I hope this feedback can help improve these areas for future guests.Given the number of issues I faced, I would appreciate an appropriate resolution to this matter, whether it be a refund or a partial reimbursement. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

In town location

No reception, breakfast left outside your door, furniture very poor quality.

The breakfast was excellent- I was expecting a small room however I think they would be better making it a smaller room and making the bathroom a wet room. I’m skinny and it was difficult to have a shower and impossible to have a wash in the sink! It could do with some updating - only one plug socket and no where to hang clothes Not even a hook!

The location of the hotel is amazing, in the heart of the town, with a view to the canal.

The room was small.

Breakfast was ok but served in a tiny table could not be enjoyed as worried about it falling off.

Please note this is not a hotel - just rooms. Rooms are tired looking - needs re furnishings and repainting. Had to ask for towels via a note left on the door as no staff around to ask. Breakfast is left outside your room each morning - table is inadequate to eat comfortably off. Very over priced.
