GOLF View Hotel & Macintosh Restaurant

The views are stunning, it is just a short walk across the golf course to West Beach a little further along the shore to the seafront shops and pubs. Fantastic watching the planes flying from RAF Lossiemouth, the food and drinks were excellent.

The beautiful building is a little unloved and could do with better a maintenance regime and more care over future works. Sticking a load of cheap uPVC doors and windows in such a fine building rather sums it up.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The staff were helpful and welcoming and the food, both dinner and breakfast, was excellent. The views from our room were very nice over the golf course and out to sea. The fly past from the jets in and out of RAF Lossiemouth were an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

Bedroom had been recently refurbished.. it was a pleasure to relax in there. Very comfortable mattress , slept really well. The staff were extremely friendly.

Landing was looking extremely tired, had chipped paint & needed a refurbishment. Even though we had paid for a sea-view room, window facing the sea was very small. The car park was dreadful, huge pot hole on entrance /exit .. needs attention urgently!! Felt it was over-priced. Only had breakfast there on 1 of our mornings there as not huge choice & tea/coffee were kept warm on hot-plate type of stand so I didn’t have a hot drink with breakfast. It would have been huge improvement if hotel had offered freshly made tea or coffee .

Beautiful views. Breakfast was really nice as was the dinner we had there. The beds are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.

Great view from the annex rooms, looking over the golf course, sea and air base.Food in restaurant was very nice, with friendly accommodating staff.

Rooms were very nice, modern, and very clean. The food was good and well priced. The staff were amazing. Happy, hard-working girls who couldn't help enough, especially with travel ideas. What a great wee find.

I didn't like doing this review as I wanted to keep this one to myself. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. (Don't tell everyone!).
