    Pros +

    • Excellent location. Comfortable public and private spaces
    • Varied breakfast options should satisfy almost any tastes. Brownies in the room in the evening were beyond good…exceptional!
    • Came back unplanned on our 10-day trip to stay again because we loved it so much. Charming inn, lovely decorated rooms, comfortable beds, modern shower, kind staff and great food!

    Cons -

    • restaurant was slightly above average
    • Coffee could be stronger
    • Everything was excellent. Might suggest putting a bathmat in the tubs as they are a bit slippery, but otherwise no significant issues at all.

Beautiful inn - lovely room, superb breakfast. Most of all, the staff were so helpful and always greeted us with a welcoming smile.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Beautiful inn with historical character. Very comfortable rooms and beds with modern bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. Adequate free parking in the lot outside. Very nice small touches like a small thermos of fresh milk left outside the door every morning for tea. Absolutely outstanding fully cooked breakfast supplemented with Continental breakfast items as well. An additional plus was the absolutely delicious evening meals available in the Restaurant/Pub located downstairs. The chef running the kitchen is clearly very talented. The Queen's Inn surpassed our expectations on all counts, and we would highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

Lovely touches - delicious brownies in the room, decent coffee, nice toiletries. The rooms were characterful and very clean. Friendly and accommodating staff

It was a nice stay - 2 very minor points - we were told that breakfast finished at 10.30 by the evening bar staff but when we arrived for breakfast at 10 we were told by the day staff that breakfast had just finished. However, they were very accommodating and gave us toast and yoghurt and a fruit salad (rather than the breakfast choice) which was delicious. The room bathroom could do with a shower curtain as it was an over bath shower head - the water went all over the bathroom floor.

Great location, quiet room, friendly staff and comfortable bed

    Nothing!

    9DavidPosted on: 5-1-2025

This is a very good hotel. The staff, food, drinks, and rooms are above average. I particularly like the fresh water and milk put outside the room daily. The inn is not the cheapest, but certainly offers value for money.

Nothing could be improved in my opinion.

Beautiful old building with a great atmosphere and lovely rooms. There were 3 of us all staying in separate rooms and we loved our rooms. The facilities were fantastic and the staff were so welcoming and helpful.

    Nothing!

The staff, the food and the quality of facilities were waaaaay above what was expected for the price. We couldn’t believe there was a bath! Easy parking and excellent dinner options made easily recommendable to our friends. Well worth staying at if you’re heading to Bedgebury Pinetam the next day.

Slightly unusual art in the bedrooms

Charming, helpful staff. Delicious food. Great, central location.

We know you are renovating the bedrooms....please put a shower curtain over the bath in Room 1....we couldn't help soaking the floor!

We received a warm and efficient welcome. All members of staff were charming and efficient. The room was spacious and comfortable The Queen's Inn is a very interesting building in a good location. We enjoyed evening meals in the restaurant during our stay. We will recommend the Queen's Inn to anyone we know who plans to visit that area, Our thanks to everyone for a most enjoyable stay.

    8JoPosted on: 4-23-2025

Dinner and breakfast were very good and service was excellent

Bathroom was a bit disappointing in that it just had a hand held shower in the bath.

    8PhilPosted on: 4-22-2025

The greeting area with tea and coffee was a nice touch while waiting for the room.Very nice venue and excellent service.

The sink in the bathroom wasn't draining properly and shower was dripping in the night. The full English breakfast had all of the ingredients as specified, but quality of produce not the best.

    The building, location, room

Drinks were expensive £9.50/125ml Prosecco. A degree of staff intolerance to laughter in the bar.

    6JamesPosted on: 4-16-2025

Chocolate brownies with coffee in room

Surprised that there was no juice or cereals offered for breakfast. Would have expected better bread for toast.

    9DonPosted on: 4-15-2025

When requested they immediately changed the heavy quilt to a summer quilt Fresh milk provided each daySmoked haddock and a poached egg option at breakfast!

    9RuthPosted on: 4-11-2025

Staff welcoming and very efficient. Room newly renovated and very comfortable. Coffee and tea facilities in the room and welcome brownies. Excellent breakfast.

Dining room not open that night so we had to eat in the bar which was a bit disappointing

    7WingPosted on: 4-8-2025

The staff on duty were exceptional and really friendly. Many small touches inside the room help make the stay smooth and easy. Comfortable bed and lovely decor. Ample of parkings outside.

Our room was situated right above the bar and pub entrance, it was extremely noisy and we could hear every conversation from below and outside. No soundproofing whatsoever. We struggled to rest well during our stay.
