Pros +
- All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a calm, relaxed atmosphere and the breakfast was lovely!
- Main hotel was closed, so our room booking was upgraded to a very nice studio apartment with hot tub. Full marks!
- Room and view from room was nice. Young man serving breakfast was friendly as well as male hotel manager.
Cons -
- We look forward to returning. Especially if there is a deal!
- Some staff simply should not interface with guests. Older woman at breakfast made me feel like I was being reprimanded for not having a breakfast reservation when I was a paying guest. No one ever said I needed a reservation. Same goes for dinner at the hotel. Both times we needed a parking space but none were available at the hotel or on the street or surrounding streets. Hotel should monitor parking giving guests a parking space assignment and posting signs that parking is only for guests.
- Bathroom was not tidy. No blinds or curtains. Flooring was damaged. Mold on tiles. Cold. Room was chilly.

We stayed one night at this hotel. We were upgraded to a suite with a hot tub.We wished had stayed another night as it was such a nice room.
Location.
Bathroom was not tidy. No blinds or curtains. Flooring was damaged. Mold on tiles. Cold. Room was chilly.
Fabulous views . Receptionist kindly changed the room to limit stairs .
Challenging access - too many steps - outside and inside. No help available. Allocated room very small - in the attic . Room wasn’t serviced on day 2.
Good location, great views
This hotel room definitely was not value for money given the high price in the very poor room:- Cheap thin synthetic duvet and pillows, stained mattress cover- corridor leading to 32 was dismal: decor awful, no decoration, marked walls and stained carpets. - no shampoo/ conditioner - Bathroom bin lid broken- The area around the sink in the bathroom was disgusting, this needs a proper clean with a brush or bleach. You would not wash your face in water in the sink.- antiquated dirty wall heater- tiny tv too small to see if sitting on the bed, and not enough room to sit at the chairs to watch- entrance from the car park extremely poor. Totally disappointing. Definitely not value for money in any respect
Room ok - small but was fine for our needs - step up into shower very high (11). Didn’t have breakfast, view was ok
Hotel a bit tired - high step into shower,
Clean, good location. Very convenient to ferry terminal & railway station. Spectacular view from our window. Great restaurant!
Would have liked twin beds instead of double.
Great location. Good food and excellent service. Ample parking.
Location, outward appearance , good food in restaurant
Uncomfortable room somewhere in the eves with four flights of stairs.Expected much more for the price
location fine, staff great.
Glass broken on door to terrace, curtains didn't close.
Decent enough establishment, cheery staff and good food.Prices are fairly steep with not that much choice of places to eat or drink in.
Hi prices for slightly inferior quality but clean property
Great position for the ferry to skye, comfortable clean room.
Unfortunately didn’t have a room available for a wheelchair, booked anyway but the stairs were very hard for an elderly person to navigate.
Both rooms clean, comfy (mother said most comfy bed ever slept in in a hotel) and warm. Staff, especially the evening meal team, were friendly cheerful and excellent.
Nothing, everything was good.
Room view, dinner
Neighbor was playing loud music and I asked the front office to get them to turn it down and that didn't happen.
The view from our room was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a terrific dinner in the restaurant with our family and the view was incredible.
The steps!
Location
Low Bedroom lighting, beds that dip in the middle, shower too small , staircase carpet threadbare & failure to service room.
Great location, bar and lobby area was lovely and comfy after a long day driving. Plenty of options for both food and drink. The terrace restaurant was lovely and the food was great. The room itself was comfortable and lovely view of the harbour but a little on the small side. Breakfast was also lovely great options for everyone really there was cereals, fruit, toast and hot buffet.
Once the restaurant had started to finish serving the music went off, all the staff sort of disappeared and there was zero atmosphere which felt abit awkward to sit and enjoy the last drink of the evening. Also a few locals sat at the bar which is absolutely fine but would prefer not to have to listen to constant swearing, we landed up taking our drinks back to the room.
It was a quiet place to stay, nice view from the room and the breakfast was good
The stairs, to get into the building if you were walking from the train. I guess, however, for older buildings in this part of the world stairs are normal
