Some of the best views of Pendle in the Ribble Valley at one of the best pubs in the Ribble Valley. Staff were always incredibly helpful and the breakfasts were fantastic. Highly recommend.
All was amazing, nothing bad to say.
Everything about the Assheton Arms was fabulous - the building, the staff, the food, the accomodation & the location.
Exquisite boutique hotel on a private estate village location in breathtaking countryside
The only thing I didn’t like was that I only stayed one night!
Characterful and traditional. Excellent friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful village location. Very good food.
Non-stop canned music. I stayed at this country inn for some peace and quiet.
A beautiful pub restaurant with traditional feel in a lovely village. The room was comfortable with great view and spacious bathroom. Food excellent quality
the Vegetarian breakfast wasn’t as generous as the traditional one.
Breakfast was very good with many different options
There were four steps between the wc/bathroom and the bed which made it awkward for night-time trips to the loo. All due to it being an historic building.
Great pub in a beautiful spot with glorious views over Pendle hill. This was our second visit and we will definitely return. The rooms are lovely and finished to a high spec. The food and service is also excellent. The staff are friendly and there is a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t rate it highly enough.
Breakfast freshly cooked pastries, choice of cereals. Juices and range of cooked breakfasts. Food overall at hotel super and we enjoyed an evening of theatre at the local village hall. (Stagetwodownham). Local falconry at Oxenhope SMJ and gliding school in Bowland Forrest. Brontë country an hour away. Ideal location to explore parts of Yorkshire and Lancashire. Room very comfortable - Overall excellent.
Hotel needs a good sweep outside and dogs allowed in bar can get a little smelly as bar area on small side. Need strength to work shower controls .
Amazing location, great staff who were very helpful. Food was really well prepared and tasty. Rooms were fab, what a gem.
Our first time staying here, we took our dog and we were all very well looked after. Beautiful view from the room. Really comfortable bed. Food was delicious. Staff were excellent and friendly. Room was Spotlessly clean.
Just a few slight touch ups needed in the room, light bulb out, paint touch ups, but it's an old building and it's wear and tear and we wouldn't mark down a fabulous stay on very minor cosmetic issues.
Breakfast was excellent. Room 12 was very spacious upstairs with the bonus of having an additional room.
Downstairs room was quite dark.
Beautiful location - welcoming and cosy - comfortable room and dog friendly.
Room was spacious & very quiet. Beautiful views. Breakfast was very nice with a choice of continental and/or cooked. Lovely atmosphere.
Evening meal was OK, not exceptional. Lamb was tough.Kettle in room was brokenTv in main bedroom was broken. Was offered complimentary tea & coffee in bar but no offer of that with breakfast for instance.
Very friendly and accommodating staff; pet friendly; lovely atmosphere; fabulous food; marvelous location ; not paying fixed prices for a New Year menu
Maybe could have made more of the midnight moment ??
A small intimate boutique b & b. Driven by excellent staff, the ‘pub’ is truly a delight to visit. Great food, service, log fires, and modern bedrooms and bathrooms.
The location, is great as are the staff. The bar area and restaurant have a lovely authentic feel and food is delicious.
Our room was beautiful but very cold, the heating in the room and bathroom just wasn’t enough to take the chill off. It was particularly cold when we stayed and it is an old property.
Gorgeous location, friendly, helpful staff, lovely room, good food
No heating when we got up in the morning and water barely warm
Lovely pub/bnb in a beautiful location Cosy room in a converted cottageExcellent food in restaurant and good breakfast Friendly efficient staff
