- Good location/setting.
Cons -
- our room - number 8 in the annex was small but the bathroom was minute, barely room for one person at a time !We found it really difficult to shower or use the tiny basin.Sorry, would like to have given 10/10 to the whole stay, but the bathroom was completely inadequate.
- Shower had no water pressure at all
- Lacking attention to detail - bed and pillows uncomfortable, poor cleanliness, no toiletries/biscuits until day 2, poor quality Sunday lunch and beer, hard bacon tomatoes at breakfast, breakfast room not comfortable.

Beautiful location We were put in the cottage next to the pub which was so lovely We had a bedroom, stunning kitchen with a chill out area and a beautiful big bathroom with an amazing shower Gave us so much space as we were there for three nights
The village is attractive
The central heating system was broken (which we weren’t told when we checked in) so we when we realised this later we cancelled the booking and went to another hotel. The carpet leading to the bedrooms was dirty. The bedroom window didn’t fit properly so there was an obvious gap between the window and the frame. The staff were unwelcoming and seemed disinterested.
Lovely location Food was also lovely
The blind in the cottage was to light was awake very early
Overall the room was excellent it was clean and comfortable.
Noise from the upstairs room.
Comfortable in a lively location
We didn’t sleep well. The church bells across the road chime every 15 minutes all through the night
Beautiful location and lovely pub. Was greeted by a very nice woman who checked us into the studio apt. The room was so nice it had everything you needed and more! Was very impressed. Overall wonderful stay and would definitely come back. My other half went for breakfast whilst I stayed in bed with a hangover and I got a bacon butty brought back. The food at dinner was also spot on.Highly recommend.
All fine - but let down by NO Bedroom chair.
I hated perching on the bed as there was NO chair.I asked but none was supplied.
The room was excellent. Had a lovley big bath . Staff were great nothing too much trouble.
If we stay again would ask for a room on first floor as we were on top floor and my husband kept hitting his head on the eves ?
Great food, friendly staff and comfy bed
Room was a little cold
Good food. Great location. Luxury standard Bedroom. Beds extremely comfortable
All modern and clean.
Separate from the main building. Had to go out into the street to get to room. Wasn’t advised of this ahead of checking in.
Great location, very helpful staff ,great beer, good food, amazing breakfast. Our room was clean, fresh and had tea, coffee etc.
Nothing to dislike.
Our room was beautiful in a lovely location. We booked dinner which was excellent and the staff were attentive .
Going home
The property is beautiful and feels very homely and comfortable with the traditional layout and fireplace.
Location was perfect for us. Hotel is nice and cosy and had a log fire on. An old attractive building with a huge fireplace. We stayed in the annexe next door which was comfortable but with steep stairs. Cooked breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very helpful.
Steep stairs in the annexe, difficult if you had mobility problems.
Great location. Traditional feel with fires and decor. Cracking bar and lovely food. Room was spotless and incredibly comfortable and the staff were all fantastic.
Stayed in the new rooms at the side of the pub. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Nothing springs to mind.
