    • No lift available, no desk for reception & breakfast is only serves until 9am at the weekend.
    • Would be great if there had been a spar with treatments.Hot meal would have been better, rather than a grazing table.Especially in winter time.

Staff are incredibly accommodating. I book for my partner when he works away, the staff always ensure he has one of the rooms he likes - with outdoor access. Super comfy beds, immaculate rooms and great customer service all round.

Beautiful property well maintained and looked after. The stunning attention to detail with the landscape exterior grounds were amazing a must see to visit! Wow factor !The lovely warm welcome we received from family member Antonio was lovely. The interior was very clean spotless and very neat & tidy. This is truly an enchanting stunning well preserved Historic building breath taking a must see for all !

We stayed in the Deluxe room and booked an evening meal for 7.30pm. Upon entering the restaurant our table was located to a couple not booked so we then had to wait 45mins later for our booked table. When deciding from the main menu dish of 4 items we were told the veal had all gone leaving 3 items to choose from? We waited some time for staff to assist whom was over busy with customers, no one was seen managing the restaurant. At one point three other staff were hanging about the bar area and not working as a team putting the customer first and not helping their team member whom was struggling with the waiting service. This was sad to see.Upon leaving as there’s no reception my husband was looking everywhere for a member of staff so we could pay our bill he knocked on staff door 3 times as well suddenly a lady took him to a lovely young man to pay. There needs to be a reception with a bell.

    Room was beautiful

The hot water didn’t work when we arrived but got fixed in 4hrs

Very clean tidy setting. Grounds very well kept.Rooms very well kitted out. Communal area clean and tidy.

Check in time very regimented, 4.30 on the dot and not before. Check out time 10.00am on the dot, this was advertised. No reception desk of sorts. Had to ring on the door bell or knock on a closed office door. Another guest let us in which seemed odd. Paying premium rate yet seemed to be very little interaction with guests in our experience. Given verbal direction to room, asked question and reply was a bit curt in my opinion. Didn't feel warm and friendly.

This is a beautiful property which has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard. The gardens are beautifully maintained with views across to Ely Cathedral. The internal rooms are very welcoming and there are several enticing areas to sit outside. Staff were excellent and the food was of a very high quality at a reasonable price. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfy. We absolutely loved this hotel

    Loved it all!

Lovely gardens and beautiful facilities. Stunning bathroom. And the staff were brilliant.

The BBQ meal (cooked indoors as it was raining) was very nice, but the chicken was quite dry. We also didn’t realise we had to request a kettle for the room until we were in our pjs!

    7EstherPosted on: 8-5-2025

    Extremely comfortable!

The non existing reception desk. We were left standing in the hall and the door closed behind your receptionist. Not a friendly feeling!

    9AndyPosted on: 8-4-2025

Great location with beautiful views of the magnificent cathedral. The grounds are a delight

    10AndrewPosted on: 8-4-2025

Warm welcome, lavish room and elegant surrounds

    9BjörnPosted on: 8-4-2025

The romantic setting, the diner, the breakfast, the spacious room. We were treated very well!

The rain but that is nothing typical in the UK I guess

    9HilaryPosted on: 8-3-2025

The room was beautifully decorated and we had a balcony and a view of the landscaped gardens and the cathedral. The hotel has been extended sympathetically with the original property. We had breakfast on one of the mornings in the dinning room, which was excellent. There are plenty of secluded places to sit and relax in the surrounding gardens. It is also possible to walk into Ely from the hotel which we did on two occasions.

The only negative is the busy road nearby, but the ambiance of hotel and it's surroundings surpass this minor issue.

Beautiful old buildings sensitively modernised with lovely gardens and views.

    Continuous traffic noise.

    10NicholasPosted on: 8-1-2025

Fabulous refurbished Manor House accommodation. Superb quality both inside and out. Very close to Ely and the Cathedral. Very pleasant and professional staff. Food is superb and reasonably priced.

Only one problem is the busy roadside location. This makes leaving window open in bedrooms restrictive. They do however provide cooling fans to combat this. It would not stop us staying again. Weekday stay avoids weekend wedding parties.

    10JonathanPosted on: 7-31-2025

fabulous period property in stunning grounds. An amazing view too !

    10ElainePosted on: 7-21-2025

Beautiful clean spacious room. Amazing gardens and Lewis, in particular, was really friendly and helpful

Nothing, everything was great. Would have been nice if the restaurant was serving more than cheese/chacuterie in the evening

    10JennyPosted on: 7-20-2025

Everything … clean welcoming and beautiful Magnificent gardens and the room we stopped in was bigger than the whole of my house downstairs

    9GaryPosted on: 7-16-2025

The hotel exuded comfort and cosiness whilst being grand, welcoming and well appointed.

Apart from the bar not being open till 11 rather than 10 and there being no food available on the evening we were there, the overall experience with a lovely breakfast made up for this.Difficult to find anything else as a negative in this fairytale building set in beautiful grounds.
