Room very well equipped, very good towels, shower gel and soap, excellent bath!! plenty of hot water. Bed very comfy. Food very, very good, had dins the evening I arrived followed by a great breakfast the next morning, food cooked fresh on ordering. Will be returning in the spring.

Clean presentable rooms for a one night stay even if the walls are paper thin. Attentive staff. On site reataurant and bar were fine although the standard of both my dinner and especially breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Breakfast was great, bed was comfortable, parking was easy, finding it was easy

Little bit cold in the evening with no heating and the walls are very thin (noise from next door); bath/shower could do with re-edging and re-grouting.

Full English breakfast and continental breakfast was offered every morning. The Sunday Cravery was definitely a treat!

Every aspect of our stay went very well. Excellent staff, warm welcome, good accommodation, delicious food, plenty of secure parking, good outdoor facilities, easy to find.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and although the room was small, it was very clean and fresh , there was a hairdryer and an ironing board and an iron in the room, the bathroom bright clean and fresh .We didn’t have breakfast so can not comment on the food.Plenty of car parking. Checking in was quick and efficient.Will definitely stay here again

Very caring, thoughtful and pleasant couldn't fault the staff. In one or two area's the owner needs to update. Food is excellent, all our guests gave excellent comments. Everyone without exception was so pleasant and relaxed making their guests feel comfortable.

Three chairs in the lounge area desperately need changing which I did make known, nicely.

Really friendly staff, clean room and good food

We ordered a Cajun Chicken Burger with chips and salad for our evening meal, it was amazing!

We were placed in an outside annex room where there were a lot of very noisy builders staying next to us, the walls were incredibly thin and we could hear ever word, even when they were just talking normally. They were very, very loud and didn't have any thought for those staying in other rooms. The room itself, was just about adequate. We had a twin room and the single beds were very thin. There wasn't anywhere to hang clothes, which was okay for a one night stay. Upon checking out, there wasn't anyone available to take the key, or talk to about any queries. I rang the bell 5 times and no-one appeared, despite me hearing someone, in the bar by the kitchen, which was behind the reception. I even went around to talk to them only to find them disappearing into the kitchen. Customer service obviously isn't their priority. In the end I just threw the key on the reception chair and left.

Perfect location, friendly staff and all the facilities worked - the TV worked you can fill the kettle from the sink there was nothing that was a pain !! Breakfast was great, the rooms were private and quiet - perfect stop off ?

Room and bed were nice. Atmosphere was good. Carvery was excellent. Bathroom was lacking. I slipped while getting out of the bath hitting my head on the wall and ending up with legs either side of the bath side (very painful). Reported the incident in the accident book stating there were no grab rails and no bath non slip mat in the bath

Clean comfortable room. Well maintained. Good bed linen and towels. Comforting bed. Tea and coffee facilities. Toiletries. Motel type hotel. Main hotel has comfortable sitting areas and bar. Restaurant serves pub food at reasonable price. Friendly staff.

Lots of Rubbish in alcove near our room let’s hotel down. Someone just needs to clean it out. Main hotel seriously understaffed on our first night. One girl doing three jobs (she was incredible) and a chef - makes owners look uncaring of staff and customers.

Breakfast was pre cooked not great. Beds very uncomfortable. And noisy from builders who were staying on the premises. Also not roomed in hotel, k7more like motel which was not stated.

No toilet brush in bathroom. Very hard pillows. Very uncomfortable beds.

Nice place, staff member was really nice + helpful. Went for the meal deal, had chicken curry + rice, which was absolutely beautiful, chicken was big chunks + cooked to perfection. had a few pints of Guinness which was served perfect. Rooms were very clean + really good quiet place to stay. Would stay again

Couldn’t fault it

Was very quiet as Mother's day was next, so only 2 or 3 rooms booked i think.Evening meal was just me at first, but service was great and the food top notch

Very friendly staff; great value rooms which included breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner - three different meals all of high standard. Would recommend.

Breakfast: did not book. We only have coffee and a scone.Room was quiet, overlooked a grassy area, with birds, and everything worked.Dinner was not booked. We are vegetarian, and prefer to find our own way.The room was warm and comfortable.

I arrived very late after a delay at Portsmouth, I rang to let them know, and a lady said she would wait, I arrived at 11.30pm, and the young lady called Emma could not have been nicer, she was so helpful, she locked my motorcycle in the yard out of sight, and made sure everything was OK for me,she is exceptional, but in the morning all the staff were so friendly, the breakfast was superb, and my room was spotless, and so comfortable, I would recommend this place to everyone.

Lovely rooms, quiet and comfortable.Bar area cosy and the food was excellent Will stay again very good price.
