Pros +
- Location right by the sea. Nice choices for breakfast. Beautiful dining room. Great location. Plenty of parking on site. Playing room, indoor heated pool and sauna.
- The bedroom led into a shared lounge, with chairs and 2 x 2 seater sofa, TV and snooker table and from there onto a balcony with 4 chairs and a sun lounger - overlooking the garden and a few yards beyond that, the sea. The food exceeded our expectaions and all the staff did too. It really was so nice to meet everyone who worked there and chat with guests from all over the world. Being located so close to the old town was a bonus. As was the lift down to and back from the lovely beach, which for a return trip of just £1 per person, was worth every penny! But then there was always the outdoor and heated indoor pool if you preferred not to get sand between your toes ; )
- Plenty of amenities available, Good and neat and clean rooms, bathrooms and good seaside view from the backyard of the hotel. Breakfast was also fine. And good swimming pool. Staff were very humbled and welcoming
Cons -
- One of the beers 'on tap' was not working and the sauna was out of action for 3 days, but honestly, we didn't care one bit.
- Wifi was not available, and receptionist didn't tell us before our arrival. As internet was very essential for us. Though we used mobile internet, but signals of our mobile network were not great.
- Rooms are tired and the bathroom had mould around the shower. The towel holders were rusty.

Location, staff and a great breakfast.
Rooms are tired and the bathroom had mould around the shower. The towel holders were rusty.
Lovely hotel overlooking the sea. Nice outside garden & inside pool. Room was spacious. Friendly staff. Good breakfast & dinner.
Brilliant location. Staff is good.
Mattress was terrible... Glad we only had to stay for a nightSwimming pool is too small in relation to what we perceive looking at the pictures... It was also not clean on the day we went and staff informed us about that.
The view location and the decorations
The Wi-Fi and the hot water facilities
The location was good, looks nice from outside
The room was extremely unclean. There were hairs all over and inside the beds, and the toilet and shower were dirty, also covered in hair. It was obvious that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all. When I reported this to the reception, they simply handed me a new duvet at the front desk—they didn’t even bring it to the room, clean the bathroom, or offer to change our room. It was a truly awful experience for my family, and incredibly disappointing.
Great breakfast and lovely to be able to use the swimming pool. The location by the sea was really nice.
Our room in the car park. The bathroom window had no blind and it felt like, when dark, we could be seen in the shower. Also, the ceiling was extremely creaky which woke us up if the upstairs guests came in later than us or went to the toilet etc. during the night. We found three large spiders in the room and the mugs were dusty.
Nice hotel in a great location, 10 minutes walk to Shanklin old village and 15 minutes walk to the beach. Breakfast was really tasty in the morning. We stayed for a 30th birthday celebration and the hotel staff offered some optional extras to make our stay more memorable which was a really nice touch.
Excellent breakfast in the dining room which has fantastic views of the sea, lovely walk down to Chine and seafront even if a bit of a climb back on the steep path.
I would have liked some hot chocolate sachets with the tea and coffee in room but otherwise good . Not sure if there was a comfortable lounge other side of bar.
everything as expected. We got a small room at the back and it was cold and had a small double bed. But after asking for another room (with twin beds), we wer give a good size room at the seaside front with twin beds and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and nothing was to much trouble.
Could do with a few maintenance work (cleaning mirrors and windows, paint chipping on furniture, etc.)
The 3 single beds in the room which was spacious.
Out of season the work surfaces and carpet could have been cleaner. I went to celebrate my birthday but the receptionist didn't acknowledge that at all. I had indicated that on my booking. The indoor swimming pool was not cleaned nor the flooring around it. There is no male and female changing area. There was no dinner option available in case we wanted it.
The staff were lovely - the bar and the food were brilliant - we were made to feel very welcome. The swimming pool and location were great.
Our room lacked plug points - there was one double plug with one of the plugs used for the tv and the other for the kettle - we had no where to charge our phones. The room was comfortable but may need updating slightly.
I liked restaurant food and stuff and room
I have double charged, but they have refunded
Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable loved the breakfast.
I love everything about the Brunswick all the staffs are very Nice and very helpful Food, ambience and location everything was perfect.Me and my husband loved everything about Brunswick.Thank you
There’s nothing I didn’t like about Brunswick
The location was splendid, near to the beach, the hotel was clean, amazing breackfast and the staff was amazing.
It is nothing to say. Everything was perfect.
The breakfast was extensive and generous but a bit machine like. The pool was good for two of us but probably too crowded in the season.
In our room (7) the tea shelf was too high on the wall, it masked the socket outlets so prevented the kettle plug being used Our radiator wasn't working but an electric fire was provided so no doubt this in hand.
Close to the beach. Nice quiet area. Short walk into town and old shanklin. Lovely heated swimming pool and breakfasts were very good.
The view out of my window was of the room next door's bedroom, and I had to get the shower fixed. I had requested a bath. I phoned reception once using the room phone, and no one answered.
