Staff were great , very attentive

Pillows were extremely hard , the pub was extremely noisy as our room was directly above . Did try to get a room that wasn’t above but unfortunately none were available. Maybe just unlucky with the room though again staff did try to help us with this issue .

The staff were very friendly on arrival and at breakfast. The room was basic but clean and the bed very comfy. Didn't have any issue with noise from the bar below. The shower was roasting hot which was just what I needed. I didn't have the breakfast as left early but the continental stuff looked fine. Good coffee also

Nothing - I would say the room is value for money, basic but clean.

I was surprised to find that there was no cooked breakfast option. Cereal toast and yoghurt were the options.A cooked breakfast could be available by prior arrangement at a further cost of £15

The staff was really friendly and welcoming, the bathroom was very nice and modern, the room a good size and reasonably clean. The bed was comfy, and it was no problem to change the breakfast time.

Had a pretty sleepless night. The window doesn't keep out the noise from the road, the curtain is flimsy and doesn't help. When the noise from the road calmed down, we woke up every time someone on the upper floors used the toilet, since the pipes run right behind the bed. I had a really nice conversation with them beforehand, mentioning that I was a hiker, arriving at the hotel after a long hike, but the room was cold when we arrived, and my luggage left at the bar. Had to ask for a hair dryer (none in the room). Maybe other rooms are better and maybe you can ask for a quiet room when staying here. Bedside lamp with a very bright light, not cosy. Breakfast basic, breakfast room cold, no cooked options. Hope some improvements will be considered.

Friendly and helpful staff. They were able to find a dry spot for our bicycles. The room was comfortable if a bit worn. Comfy bed. Included continental breakfast was very good and plentiful. Very good location on the main street.

A few touch ups here and there wouldn't go amiss.

First night of our holiday. Friendliness of locals in the Bar. Breakfast included was a bonus.

Located in a small village with great restaurants close by.

Had to leave far too early to get the Edinvurgh Airport - seems close but further away that you think!

The owners were great. A fun and lively place. We were there for a family party and the kindly gave us a lift to the venue which was outside of town.

It is what it is. A Family run hotel in a small rural community. Support and enjoy.

Very hot and comfy shower! Staff was lovely. Unexpexted continental breakfast included, which was great. Nice location, in hindsight a bit fat from Edinbrugh, but very good for the price. Was a great stay, felt very welcoming.

Ideal location in the centre of town with ample parking.Friendly, quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Continental breakfast was fine and the member of staff who attended to us was pleasant.

We like to read in bed - not possible because the lighting was so poor. The en-suite bathroom door squeaked when opened - not good if partner was asleep at the time. I didn’t shave because the mirror was set for someone about 5’3” or less and I am over 6’ . Very steep stairs. Noise heard from people sitting out or smoking outside below our window.Old beds with noisy springs.
