We just loved staying there! Staff was very friendly. We got an upgrade to a fantastic room with a wonderful bath and perfect bed. Nice fireplace too.

Television: you needed to sign in for every app and we couldn’t find how to get to it working properly

The bar, the restaurant, the service, the food, it was delicious !!!! The room was a bit dated however the bed was comfortable and the room was warm and cosy, had a wonderful night. The restaurant is stunning with the open fire , the twinkle lights and the gantry, the wee bar was great to all staff couldn't do enough for us brilliant.

The room was facing the main road so could hear traffic, however managed to get back to sleep will be back i will just ask for another room facibg away from the main road.

Upscale, clean, quirky, large rooms, excellent food and wait staff

No electric outlet in bathroom!!! After struggling to blow dry my hair in a corner with no mirror I was so frustrated. Next morning spied an outlet low on the wall, slightly obscured, next to the tall cabinet. Front of that cabinet had a tall mirror which I could have used but had no idea the outlaws even there. Poor information from the management about conveniences in the bedroom.

We stayed for one night and had a brilliant stay. The staff were so welcoming and friendly to us as well as our dog. The food was excellent and the hotel has lovely character! We felt right at home and very comfortable. Can’t wait to return!

The staff were all very friendly and eager to help. The bars a restaurant areas were cosy with great ambience from happy patrons. There was a nice "community" atmosphere which was enhanced by the open fires and friendly conversations between patrons and staff in the public areas. Dogs were welcomed and petted with treats and freshly provided water bowls. The dinner menu was a good mix of Scottish standard fare with some inspired touches. The beetroot hummus starter was outstanding!

The George never fails to provide a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, lovely staff and hosts providing a welcoming and attentive service. The food is always excellent, with a generous hearty breakfast. Inveraray is a lovely wee home away from home.

The George is an old Inn in one of my favourite places, Inverary. The George is full of character and a magical ambiance. The room was amazing, we were upgraded which was lovely. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a delicious seafood stew for dinner and enjoyed the live music, next to a roaring fire and underneath fairy lights on the ceiling. We had a delicious Sunday lunch with friends, including two toddlers and the staff were amazing. One of the owners is always on hand and works hard to ensure you are happy. All in all, an amazing stay.
