Pros +
- The location with a great view. Great staff. The local bar had good food and a nice atmosphere.
- Everything, good supper and good breakfast
- Hotel Employees were WONDERFUL--couldn't have been more helpful, competent, efficient, friendly, and professional. Food/service-excellent; touring/driving advice-excellent
Cons -
- The bed was very small for 2 people. My partner is 2 meters and i am also not that small and we both struggled to be really comfortable sleeping due to a lack of space.
- One morning personel were not too smiley! Not tpo gappy yo be working that morning !
- A lift of some kind for carrying heavy bags upstairs; a VERY small concession to purchase Drambuie to take home; hooks in the bathroom/on a wall; a makeup mirror; brighter lamp lighting--all would have been welcome for a bit of added comfort.

It's on Skye
This is priced like a 5 star hotel but it's barely 3 stars. The room was small, sparse, and the whole places smelled of food
Our room was brand spanking new. Perfectly beautiful. It was located across the road from the main house.
The pub felt a bit off/ unwelcoming.Breakfasts were very good but the dinner menu was limited.Short December daylight had an impact on our visit.
Our room was new and immaculately clean. The area was quiet and very pretty.Staff tried hard.
There wasn’t much to do.The hotel restaurant was not very good for dinner. The pub area was a bit rough.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good at the restaurant. The room was comfortable and quiet. Overall, a great experience.
Wi-Fi could be improved.
The bed was comfortable and the room stayed warm. Close to grocery market and pharmacy.
Loud at night due to bar as part of the hotel, shower/bath water did not drain. Room was very small and cramped. Stairwell with door difficult to navigate. There is very limited staff on duty.
Super comfy bed- was sad to leave the next day at 7am, spacious room, nice hot water and bathtub (great for after a day on the isle of Skye), great restaurant and location has a co-op 5 minute walk
That I couldn’t stay longer.
The location was convenient and the bed was comfortable. It was nice having tea in the room.
There was bad mildew in the tub tiles, floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned/vacuumed in a long time, bed frame was literally shedding onto the floor (very worn faux leather). I can’t believe I paid what I paid and had that state of a room.
The beds were comfortable.
So much! It’s a stunning location and such a historic building. This should be a gem but the interiors were shabby. Our bedroom has been renovated very poorly. The carpet was dirty. The staff with the exception of the man who checked us in (he was not an employee but helping out the bar that night) were unpleasant.
Check in and check out
It was quite expensive for the amenities and the view from the room as over a roof.. little windows to open and the room was warm and the bed was smaller than I thought it would be. Overall not worth the money. I will not stay there again.$
The location is pretty central, the surrounding area is gorgeous. Being next to the loch was awesome. It was nice having a parking lot next to the hotel and not down the street. The restaurant is great, the chef is amazing! Best fish and chips in Scotland.
The shower drain was clogged so be prepared to shower in ankle deep water. The wifi is nearly nonexistent, the TVs dont work so you cant see the news or weather and the bed was super hard. We requested a room with a full bed and were given two twins so my wife and I slept separately like we're in the 50s. The room was hot and stuffy and there was no fan. As much as we paid for 2 nights breakfast should be covered and not an additional 60£.
The garden is beautiful with nice big trees. It has picnic tables and has an amazing view on the beach. The staff were really nice
It’s an old building, tiny stairs and no lift. The room and bathroom were very big however they didn’t make good use of the space. The bed is very small for a couple which made very uncomfortable. The windows barely open and the room was extremely hot on a sunny day
The staff was very nice, the dinner was great. The location is lovely and the near by Loch is a good walk. The room was clean and spacious.
Not much parking space.
Such a lovely gem! We had 2 rooms and all 4 in our party had the best sleep! The rooms are well-appointed and the staff are very helpful. Great beds, great shower - everything was just what we needed. Definitely hope to return someday.
Just a minor issue; the WiFi kept going out. Also, the cost to stay is high (the most expensive hotel of our 12 day trip) but for the Isle of Skye, and for all the incredible comfort we had at the Broadford, it was so worth it!
The staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
The carpet throughout the room was extremely dirty and stained. We choose to wear shoes in the room as we felt they were cleaner than walking around in socks of barefoot. The shower had visible mold, which made the stay uncomfortable. For the high price, I expected a much cleaner and better-maintained space.
The location was good despite being a small quiet village.had a couple shops and was 30 mins from Portree townOn arrival the receptionist was really friendly and helpful
The hotel is over priced when considering location and amenities
Great location. Comfortable room. Limited dining choices.
Sadly, a rather offhand feeling about our presence there.
Nice location and lovey lady art the counter
Very expensive for what it was. It was the most expensive place we have stayed in all of the uk. Small room with extractor fan straight outside window the was very noisy. We returned from otter watching at 7.45 and the bar staff said no more food is available so we drove up the road for pizza only to return an hour later and there were still diners in the restaurant with meals still coming out. Really enjoyed talking to the lady that checked us in but other than that we very underwhelmed
