The central location along the waters edge was great, the staff were exceptionally friendly and the room was clean.

You can hear every word of your neighbours conversation and TV, feels like they’re in your room, very loud. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. As there weren’t many guests in the inn (we travelled in Feb — the off season), our continental breakfast was delivered in paper bags to our door which consisted of some bread, spreads, and a muesli bar — very minimal and not particularly appetising. We would have preferred some cereal or somewhere to toast the bread perhaps. The heat of the shower comes on and off, it went cold, but if you wait it will get hot again. Also the kettle doesn’t turn off, once boiled it will continue to boil.

Nice location and great to have a restaurant on site. Loved the big beds. And the view of the bay.

Couldn’t get the tv to work.

The location. The restaurant’s pub food was good we enjoyed the shellfish soup with

The milk cartons in the room were out of date by months and there was only decaf coffee for the machine.

Room was comfortable and restaurant excellent

An initial mix up regarding my booking on arrival but very happy with the rest

    Not much, only the location

The condition of the property is terrible and dirty in the communal areas. To get to the room you have to go up dirty carpeted stairs through a very cold corridor. The room was a front facing room which was cold despite there being a heater as the windows are terrible and chipped. The walls are paper thin so we could hear the couple next door attempting in the middle of the night to get into their room which was literally outside our door and took at least 20 mins, we could also hear their full conversation. The shower has no door or curtain and absolutely no power. It took such a long time to have a shower. The mattress on the bed was so thin you could feel the springs. We got absolutely no sleep at all. The bar area is not very welcoming. The food choices were slim. We ordered fish and chips but it was terrible. Chips where the potatoes had not been peeled and were hard, fish full of batter and very little fish inside.

Perfect location on the waterfront. Lovely continental breakfast was free. Room very clean, cosy and comfortable with a lovely view. Dinner in restaurant good (we had veggie option). Staff friendly and helpful. On street parking at location. Everything within easy walking distance. Photo is at dusk from our bedroom window.

Nothing - the arrangements suited us very well and we will happily go back to stay again

Wonderful location. We enjoyed a light breakfast but unfortunately the dining area is small, be aware it’s a very dog friendly place. We had breakfast with 6 dogs - barking and growling at each other.

    No dogs at breakfast

    7AvrilPosted on: 10-22-2025

    The staff were fantastic.

A little run down and in need of a good clean. Shower in room even though it was recently refitted needed a good clean with bleach as was showing signs of mould. No one made bed or emptied bins every day. A the bed hadn’t been cleaned under in a long time. Menu was very limited

    6InesPosted on: 10-22-2025

    Room was adequate.

Bed too soft, shower was intermittent with temperature, window sills were quite dirty. A shame as location and size of room is fantastic but needs serious upgrading. Breakfast was also not great, limited options and allplaced in a small table.

    Good food

Really good pub, good food and great atmosphere in the evening. The bed was super comfy with a great view!

Just a shame that for the price it didn’t include a cooked breakfast!
