Lovely location, great pub, friendly staff and customers

Wish breakfast had been extended, especially as NYE always a late night.

Friendly staff and welcoming pub and nice rooms . Had a lovely meal . Enjoyed the warm open fire .

AVOID

Everything. Poor food - rib-eye stew with 3 pieces of meat. Armchairs in bar dirty, worn and past it. No heating on anywhere with bedrooms freezing and lukewarm water in bathroom and shower in the morning. No staff available on leaving after a night's stay and the place in darkness.

You could hear other guests in other rooms who kept waking us up. No sanitary bin in bathroom. Quite small double bed that squeeked a lot.

The Hopton Crown was really clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The food was generous and a reasonable price.

To in room could have been bigger. Door to room (no.10) poorly fitted so rattled when another door was opened

It was a very old building and electric sockets were a challenge.

Double bed low, difficult to easily get in and out. Needed few finishing bits ...more towel rails, paint retouch in some spots. Need to move bedside cabinet to between beds so everyone had reading lamp.

Very flat pillows, not the most comfortable bed. Couldn't close bathroom door. Some peeling paint. Non absorbent bath mat meant a wet floor after showers. Could hear other guests (and their dogs) very clearly.

Some meals were not so great (cheaply made and not well presented- ie. Cold stale bread with baked Camembert) Rooms were hot but the road noise was too loud to keep the windows open.

Room was a bit small, but clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was really good.

Very clean & comfortable room. Plentiful coffee & tea.Amazing bathroom & always lovely towels.

Sadly the Bar closes around 10pm nightly, something we had not realised before booking.

The bed was very comfortable, great pillows and a lovely old property.

The paint was peeling in the bathroom, a burnt iron mark on the floor and a very noisy generator outside our bedroom. The facilities mentioned a coffee maker which was also shown in the picture but sadly lacking

Good location, close to Ludlow.

Bed wasn’t comfortable, pillows were not great. Room was basic but it was clean and tidy. Food was really good, freshly cooked.
