Private apartments, big beds, nice bathroomIt was cheap

No mattress protector, blood stains on mattress Confusing when arriving where to get key No loo roll

The room was big and there was lots of storage. It was clean.

No obvious reception.When we checked in, the person didn't welcome us - just gave us the key. There was a kettle with tea and coffee but not enough sugar, etc. No hangers in the wardrobe.The bedding had stains on it. The room was very warm, with no air-conditioning or a fan.

Staying in an Indian restaurant, what's not to like. 10 rooms in the adjacent block, all with 2 double beds and a large shower room. The meal was slightly more expensive than usual but was very good and loads of food. I parked my car 2 yards from the front door of my room.

The window has a very efficient curtain, however the front door has a window with no curtain. Light streamed in quite early. The switch for the light above my bed was hidden behind the bed and a little challenging to find then operate.

The room was clean and great value but was very tired and needs a refresh. The food in the restaurant was beautiful

Lovely room, spotlessly clean. Room was nice and quiet. The restaurant served an excellent meal.

Convenient location to A1, Newark and North Muskham. Although sandwiched between the A1 and East Coast main line noise was not an issue. Parking was convenient especially with a disabled spouse. Staff were very helpful in responding to our requests. The room (No 8) was basic but spacious with a comfortable bed and the ensuite bathroom was easily accessible.

It was obvious that a lot of money had been spent on refurbishing the bathroom to a contemporary standard. However there was extensive mould on the ceiling despite an automatically triggered extraction fan. Mould was also present in the corners of the "new" walk in shower. I wondered if the extensive cladding was disguising other things? If this could be rectified it would be a decent place to stay.

The restaurant and location are great

The room had one bed with a broken head board and dirty sheets. But the main thing that was bad was the power went out and energy light came on while we where still sleeping. We couldn't make a drink or watch TV couldn't charge either of our phones. The reception is not manned so we couldn't tell anyone to sort it for us. It's a great place to stay but if things go wrong they are not able to help you

Rooms wete large in size and very clean and modern design.Restaurant was gorgeous, very welcoming and cosy and amazing tasting food.

The comfort of the bed wasn't great for my back but my partner didn't seem to mind it

Space and easy parking

We had an Indian meal at the Restaurant. We were overcharged fir a jug of delicious mango lassi. Not a menus item and not priced. Should not have been offered if not on the menu.

Late check in was ideal. I was intending on driving home to Durham from France in one day, I became extremely tired so looked for somewhere close that had a late check in and saw this was available. Staff were very friendly upon arrival, room was very clean and warm.

The rooms were massive,two twin comfortable beds, carpet in the bedroom were brand new as were the flooring in the bathroom which consists of a Large bath with built in shower and large shower screen Kettle and coffee tea and biscuits supplied TV c/w sat channels Two side chairs and a bedside table Unfortunately there wasn't a bedside lamp The Indian restaurant next door ( 25 m) away served excellent food and drinks the staff were very cheerful and chatty and brilliant service

Very basic but expected at the price. I was invoiced £65 rather than the £59.80 when booked via Bookings.com. If there was a charge it should have been explained. (why the difference?)The wifi was very poor and on business this is very important.The furniture was broken, such as chair in room.

Property had mould. Was met by a staff member wearing pyjamas. Didn’t stay longer than 10 minutes. Handed in keys and requested a refund and booked another hotel.

Everything was fine for an overnight stay.Going forward I think the furnishings need updating as a lot of the furniture was worn or broken but for the price of £50 that was ok but updating the furnishings and a lick of paint could then put your prices up

There was no one to meet us on arrival when we had paid an extra £30 for two rooms early check in.Had to ring for someone meet us.

ACCOMMODATION IS OVERPRICED. FOOD IN RESTAURANT IS OVERPRICED. Not only is the food overpriced, but they charged us for things that we didn’t have. They are untrustworthy. DO NOT STAY OR EAT HERE.

Very convenient location and a very good price too. We had an issue with the TV which a member of staff came and helped with. My only criticism was with the bathroom ceiling which suffered from black mould. We had pretty noisy neighbours but eventually they went to bed! Parking was good and it's very easy check-in too. Despite the mould I would definitely use them again simply because of the price and location.

3 journeys to the reception to get the WiFi password.The springs on the mattress were prominent and quite uncomfortable.

The rooms are quite spacious, but the furniture needs refreshing, in my room I had a broken chair and sofa. I found the mattress not very comfortable, it felt like I was sleeping directly on springs, to the extent that I ended up sleeping on top of the quilt. The biggest disappointment for me though was the beds not having mattress protectors. I think overall the price of the rooms are reflective and fair for what you get. That said, the big bonus of staying here is eating in the restaurant… I can’t recommend it enough, the food is fantastic as are the staff.
