Pros +
- strategic location

- The owners were so welcoming. We had the best time in the evening with the staff and other travelers. The room was small but clean. Beds comfortable. Meals very good. The hotel is a little off the beaten path . I'd stay again!
Cons -
- The hotel is very, very old and it smells of fried food. Even if the room wasnt dirty, the rest of the building is dirty, messy and neglected.
- We stayed in on of the cabins. We arrived on the night after dinner and the heating in the cabin was not on at all and the room was freezing (it was perhaps 10 degrees Celsius inside). We put the radiator on maximum for an hour before going to bed. The room never got anywhere close to room temperature and the radiator also shut off on a timer during the night. We were freezing the whole night and would have left if it wasn't already late. This is not an acceptable standard for a hotel.

We stayed in the 4-poster room, which was very luxurious and comfortable indeed. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, but the location was ideal for us as a quick stop-over on our journey. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay again.
Theres' nothing we didn't like.
Fantastic room. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Also saw there were some cool chalet/pods which looked fun.
Shower could have been better and there was space for it to have been bigger.
Poor
I put the towels on the floor hoping that they will be replaced but the cleaners just put the same towels back. The reception was never open. The hotel is up for sale maybe that’s why the staff didn’t care.
This was a gem! Not in the regular bustle but absolutely gorgeous! Staff were awesome, helpful and friendly. Room was amazing, gorgeous four poster canopied bed! Thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend!
We were able to book last minute late at night and staff were very accommodating
It is an extremely basic lodge Extremely over priced for what it is
The two helpful staff members were the only positive of an otherwise entirely weird stay!
The price was horrendous for the quality of the hotel. Not adequate parking facilities.Small, oddly shaped room, very dated and not comfortable at all. Noisy.Stairway stank of smoke.
The location is reasonably convenient although the Postcode brought us to a slightly different location. This may have been the fault of GPS rather than the hotel. The hotel was available when many others were fully booked and this was convenient for us.
The room was in a pod beside a stream. The attached bathroom/toilet was very confined and the washing basin totally inadequate to wash ones face. The mattresses were too soft for me.Meals were basic but adequate, even though a bit expensive.
StaffVery clean
Location no near anything
The staff were very friendly and the quality of the food was very good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The cost of the room was higher than any other we've had on the tour.
The room was comfortable and quiet.
There was a lighter on the floor in the room! We don't smoke! The small table was covered in white cup marks! Which was not nice! The table was not dressed for dinner the whole dining area was tired looking . Some fresh veg or salad instead of all the frozen food and chips which were a bit tasteless.
Comfortable spacious room.
It was during a storm so not a lot of opportunities to go outside and explore the area
The room was a chalet next to a river
The mattress & pillow were very uncomfortable. The bathroom was smelling of humidity and the sink was so small that you couldn't use it to wash your face
Cottages for the kidsLady serving the breakfast

Beautuful spot beside a river. Nice big room and bathroom. Loved that there were two comfy lounge chairs to sit on to watch TV. Felt like home. So Scotland themed with tartan quilt cover, high backed chairs and curtains. The best part was that they actually had a top sheet on the bed. Pub had small but nice menu.
Wish there was a fridge as we like fresh milk with our coffee and usually have cold drinks or a bottle of wine to put in the fridge to relax after driving and exporing all day
Almost everything was great. Great room and bathroom spaces.
The temperature regulator didn't work as expected
It was lovely to sit on the balcony and hear the river. The bed was comfy
Too many regulations posted around the room. No hooks to hang clothes or towels. Bathroom mirror was ok for tall people.
