    Cons -

    • (A) ¿ After a long day of driving and arriving late at 10:40 pm, I had to rush to the bar and buy two beers because bar service stops at 11pm. (B) ¿ No shampoo and the soap consisted of a round piece the size of a $2.00 coin!
    • It is an old hotel. It needs some updating. The bathrooms showers are really small.
    • Distant location from city center.

Nice evening meal at a very reasonable cost. Fantastic breakfast. Lovely views of Loch Linnhe. Helpful staff.

Dining was alot busier than I am used to with a longish wait for breakfast due to coach party bookings - can't really fault this as it is their business, I'm just used to getting a quicker start in the morning.

    To avoid !

Rude staff member @ check in and out.Dirty bathroom: faucets, sink, shower etc …No elevators.Run down aspect of the entire place that needs to be re-modeled urgently

    7RichardPosted on: 9-14-2025

Staff were very helpful and friendly, the evening meal deal was great value, Good evening entertainment.

It was a bit tired, the walls are a bit thin. 3 miles outside of Fort William.

5 minutes from the city center, close to the lake.

This hotel should be rated as a 2-star establishment, but it is very expensive considering the facilities offered.

    6AbdulazizPosted on: 8-11-2025

    Location, bathroom was spacious

No isolation between rooms, TV starting by itself, shower pipe was leaking water.

    7StephenPosted on: 6-30-2025

Nice friendly hotel with comfortable rooms. Low priced evening meals are available.

    9JekaterinaPosted on: 6-1-2025

Good location of the hotel with comfortable parking. Spacious room with magnificent view of the loch and mountains.

We had to wait a very long time for breakfast, it was cold and not testy .

    8WaynePosted on: 5-1-2025

Rooms were large and most have loch views. Nice and close to Fort William

    5ScottPosted on: 4-29-2025

The rooms were fine and the bar was cheap

The shower was broken, the wrong time was given for breakfast and if there’s coaches in your bottom of the pecking order.

    5BernadettePosted on: 4-22-2025

Claire, the receptionist, was great friendly and helpful

    1. There is only 1 towel in the room2. Coffee half empty and just thrown on tray3 the grout between tile had black mould growing4 evening porter told 2 different cars driving to park in disabled space so when we arrived there was no space for parking our car which had a blue badge5 left the hotel in the wrong direction and was totally amazed at the bin area where black bin bags were thrown and split open, attracting rats extra6. The la dings and stair carpets hard not need cleaning a day's 6 service in breakfast was very poorly served with waiters' hands on the food

    3BrianPosted on: 4-22-2025

Got there at 7:00 pm, restaurant was closed. Not enough towels we asked the staff and and they had none. TV did not work, the night staff was rude

    5AlexPosted on: 4-21-2025

Okay so the location is great and the views of the loch are fantastic, yet that's the only thing going for this hotel.

Well the rooms are outdated 1980s style, it was like an old people's home, hardly anyone there expected for old people. The heating is pants, but not really needed, The shower was leaking and flooded the floor a bit and the toilet did not flush. This is well past its prime, there are probably better places to stay in all honesty. I would avoid it unless you like cheap drinks and bingo.

    2ChristopherPosted on: 4-20-2025

    The staff. That’s about it.

The room smelled of sewage. Was moved room and that one had a million and one things wrong with it! It was smelly outdated dirty broken kettle, hairdryer, light and many more. We won’t be back .

    5AlisonPosted on: 4-20-2025

Bar staff were helpful and friendly

Web site notes free WiFi however this does not apply to rooms. I accept that everyone can't have a view but they need to tidy up out the back. Hint for anyone else if you expect to eat in their restaurant you need to book it.

The service - great and friendly staff

Rooms were slightly outdated, but very comfortable.

    7LorrainePosted on: 4-19-2025

It was easy to find, had plenty parking and was convenient for our needs.

The corridors were uncomfortably warm and we had to turn down the heating in our room - a very minor issue.

    7AndrewPosted on: 4-19-2025

Quirky nature and a little like going back in time. The honesty of the place, location. Super comfy bed and pillows and lovely breakfast environment.

I guess the place is a little dated and rough round edges but I actually found this part of the places charm.
